Preity Zinta’s Ishkq In Paris is the biggest disaster of 2013, as the film collected Rs 42 lakhs on it’s opening day at the box office. The occupancy was so poor that several shows were reportedly cancelled. The film is unlikely to recover it’s marketing costs from it’s theatrical business.
The other two releases this weekend – Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke and Zindagi Zindagi – were worse, but not much was expected from these films.
The response to Hollywood release Fast and Furious 6 was excellent. The Justin Lin film collected Rs 7.75 crore including paid preview shows on Thursday.

People will watch faf6. If preity had released it in 2012, it might collect some. But now people are waiting for big films like ouatim2, ce, d3, k3, mental.
Not surprising at all. There is no room for 30+ leading ladies in Bollywood. Rani Mukherjee is finished as a leading lady, as is Preity Zinta. What makes these two think people will actually bother to watch movies where they are the leading ladies? Its just not going to happen in India.
The only 30+ leading lady, who has worked lately is Vidya Balan. Even Kareena Kapoors heroine flopped.

and one thing SOS was flop? and people who are saying Salman Khan special appearance is bad luck for movies… where are Ajab Ghazab Ki Prem Kahaani, Baghban and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in your list?
