Dhoom 3 continued its historic, record-breaking run at the domestic box office on Monday. The film has collected around Rs 20 crore on its first weekday, clinching yet another record for the highest Monday collections and also becoming the only film to collect Rs 20 crore or more on a non-holiday weekday!
To put things into perspective, the first weekday collections of Dhoom 3 is higher than the first day business of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Besharam and about the same level as the opening day of last year’s Christmas release Dabangg 2. The film has achieved this feat after a record-breaking 108 crore weekend!
Dhoom 3 has now collected around Rs 129 crore in its first 4 days (including all versions) and is on track to beat the lifetime collections of Dabangg 2 (Rs 155 crore) in just 5 days!
Business is likely to pick up today (Christmas eve), evening / night shows at multiplexes will see higher footfalls as tomorrow is a National holiday for Christmas.
The first week business of Dhoom 3 is likely to be around 185 – 190 crore, which would make it the 5th highest grosser of all time in just one week, behind Krrish 3, Chennai Express, 3 Idiots and Ek Tha Tiger.

- Friday – 36.22 crore (record)
- Saturday – 33.36 crore (record – 8% drop)
- Sunday – 38.03 crore (record – 14% growth)
- Monday – 21 crore (record – 44% drop) (estimates, actuals at 3PM)
- 4 day Total Collections – 128.61 crore
Well the monday collection of d3 is phenomenal, but one request to indicine, as both boi and indicine overreported collection of d3 overseas, as per officials and also updated on boi, the weekend collection of d3 is 10.1million dollar so its about 62-63cr, still the highest weekend ever and still marked 203cr worldwide as per officials and as from boi, it should be around 195cr, a huge achievement never the less, congo to Aamir,abhi,uday,kat,victor and all d3 team feeling sad for @sakhi and @megha who tried hard to make d3 worst movie ever and thought movie will bombed on monday, but history written again.

Today also the collection should be above 20 crores bcoz of evening shows as it is Christmas holiday tomorrow and again tomorrow the collection can be more than 30+ crores.So single day collection of all 6 day should be 20+ crores out of which 4 days should be 30+ crores.This is Historic.

There is no letting up in the collections of Dhoom 3 as it has collected around 19.50 crore as per early estimates taking the four day total to nearly 115 crore for its Hindi version. The film was rock steady all over with CI showing the lowest fall on Monday but that circuit had under performed the rest of India over the weekend. The collections on Tuesday should be higher than Monday as it will get benefit in evening as next day is a holiday. Its hard to put a exact number on how much the week can gross as Tuesday should be up and Wednesday cab even go towards the 30 crore nett mark though with such huge business the growth on the national holiday may not be the regular 50%. The range for the week should be 170-180 crore nett which is phenomenal.

@navin thanx bro for appreciation @manjeet nice comment which you written various pages of d3 post. @yash you know talaash collection 9 million dollar in overseas and was non holiday release, if we leave mnik till than jthj grossed 13 million $ on diwali, sos can challenged jthj in domestic but not in overseas, you srk fans thought srk is by far the biggest star in overseas but even your biggest stars fan following even was good enough so that he himself can beat his own mnik collection record after 3 years and 4 holiday releases, tell me the reason why srk wasn’t able to make good film who can surpass mnik and 3i, and he has everything for him, his each film having overseas appeal and location except ce,by far the biggest actor in overseas but still 3i biggest there, and excuse of srk fans is content. I loved the maths of srk fans they having their own methods and rules, they think 2+2=5, i found many times srk fans said dabangg2 released on 4000screen according to them while it was released on 3500screens, they thought ce released on 3500 screens while it released on 3650-3700 screens, and now some are saying that d3 released on 5000 screens while it released on 4200 hindi screen and 300 regional screens so total is 4500, so when comes to others mothes there formala is to increase 400-500 screens automatically and when comes to their fav they reduces 200 screens so finally the noble award in maths goes to srk fans, cheers

@aks So true bro and looking back to EID where all of us begrudgingly accepted the truth, we praised the record collections of Crappy Express even though we all knew deep down that it was the crappiest film ever to hold the prestigious title of Highest Grosser Ever…! I dont regret congratulating the lungiwalas as it was the right and cordial thing to do but today and during Diwali not a single lungiwala had the foresight /gratitude to show an iota of class/ respect to both K3 or D3 but have started mouthing off that collections are manipulated by 1%, 5%, 10% or worse 50% by Roshan camp…!
Hypocrisy at its best when lungiwalas are in complete shock and total denial…!
Back to topic- 20 crores on monday is HUGE and Tuesday should be around 22-24 cr range with Christmas touching 30 crore..! Fantabulous figures- second will see 3 idiots second week record fall too so 300 cr to be reached by 3rd weekend at the earliest. Yippee
