In one of the worst terrorist attacks from across the border, 18 soldiers were killed in Uri (Kashmir) last Sunday. While the country has united to condemn the attack, Akshay Kumar has said merely felicitating them with medals and honouring them isn’t enough.
Adding that more people should come forward and financially help the families of the victims, Akshay honoured the families by financially helping them.
The superstar, at an event, has donated cheques worth Rs 5 lakhs to more than 10 people. Sources say, the total amount that Akshay has donated could be close to a crore.
The actor had earlier not only condemned the terror attacks, but said the mindless terrorism has to stop.
