In one of the worst terrorist attacks from across the border, 18 soldiers were killed in Uri (Kashmir) last Sunday. While the country has united to condemn the attack, Akshay Kumar has said merely felicitating them with medals and honouring them isn’t enough.
Adding that more people should come forward and financially help the families of the victims, Akshay honoured the families by financially helping them.
The superstar, at an event, has donated cheques worth Rs 5 lakhs to more than 10 people. Sources say, the total amount that Akshay has donated could be close to a crore.
The actor had earlier not only condemned the terror attacks, but said the mindless terrorism has to stop.

I wonder why this bhakt @xzone is mum on Paki actors being targeted. His own idol has casted a Paki actress. This guy @xzone was chanting Patriotic slogans during Aamir’s intolerance and Salman’s case hearing praising Modiji and putting Nation and Law above every thing and now he is not even commenting on such articles whereas he is commenting on Salman articles and some SRK articles as well. I have had always the highest respect for Aksay Sir …he is truly an inspiration to all..he is among those few actors who really thinks for the country and also for the citizens of the country..there r some so called superstars who always thinks of making profit through flims and maintaining their so called popularity in that country known for acting as being the epicentre of terrorism and sending terrorist to another country just to kill the innocent lives..Shame on those superstars..I m happy that our country has actor like Aksay Sir who not only act like true hero in reel life but also in real life..
