Rohit Shetty made his directorial debut with the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Zameen’ more than a decade ago in 2003. Since then, the two have worked together in 9 films. In fact, Rohit has only directed two films that did not feature Ajay and both of those (Chennai Express, Dilwale) featured Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
Now with reports that all is not well between Shetty and SRK after their 2015 Christmas release ‘Dilwale’ failed to beat the competition, Rohit returns to work with Ajay in the fourth Golmaal film.
Talking about the relationship he shares with Ajay, Shetty said “‘I know Ajay is one guy who will stand by me whenever I need him. Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) is another. I love them. I know Ajay since the last 26 years. With him, even if there’s some work to be done, if I tell his staff or my staff, I know it will happen, so I don’t worry. That understanding is there between us. There is an unspoken understanding between us.”
Shetty also spoke about his other friends in the industry “Some of them are not from the film industry. There’s Prasad, Amrish and Bhaskar, who are all in different professions and they are all my childhood friends since my school days in Dahisar, where I used to stay with my grandmother. I met them when I was 10 years old and have been friends since.”
”People feel that when one achieves fame, one leaves the past behind. With me, it has never happened that way. These guys have been with me since the last 33 years and nothing has changed between us in that time. I didn’t leave my roots behind and carry forward different people who came into my life” he added.

if we minus box office records then akki and ajay be considerd same as khans,but money is everythink,so khans place above these two.

The relationship between Ajay and Rohit is extremely solid and trustworthy . In 1991 when Ajay made his debut with PAK Rohit was the assistant director and after 12 years Rohit worked with Ajay in Zameen in 2003 . Zameen was a failure but still Ajay stood by Rohit and did Sunday and Golmaal . Golmaal started the success of Rohit and presented Ajay in a Comic role which he wanted to do since a long time . I hope this friendship grows more and more in the coming years . I hope Rohit makes a solid turnaround after making CE, SR and Dilwale in the last 4 years . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But when Dilwale failed to become a Hit due to SRK’s own ego to destroy SLB, he solely put blames on Rohit’s Shoulder. Pathetic.
Well according to sources Rohit blamed srk for Dilwale’s release date as the failure and srk blamed rohit that he could have made the movie better….

Rohit Sir, you are at your best when you work with Ajay. The only movie of yours featuring Ajay that I did not like was Singham Returns as ti lacked that typical homour element that your movies generally have. Also the outrageous flying cars are not necessary everytime, just keep that to minimum and focus on more comedy and content.

I personally love watching Rohit’s movies irrespective of how the film is received by the critics. His films are very entertaining.
After the super success of Chennai express Rohit should have come with a much stronger script, but sadly, Dilwale wasn’t even on the level of Chennai express it was really pathetic. The climax was hugeeeee letdown. The comedy didn’t work either.
So all is not well between srk and Rohit.
The fault should be laid on Rohit for his direction not srk . ( he ) is just an actor.
So we hope he never works with srk again.
But I will always watch his films !!!!!
