Ekta Kapoor’s The Dirty Picture opened to historic weekend numbers – especially when you consider the fact that the film is female-centric the collections are mind-boggling. The opening (including all versions) is 10% higher than Ajay Devgan’s Singham, which was one of the biggest hits of the year! Release on 1766 screens in India and 120 screens overseas, The Dirty Picture collected Rs 32.7 crores and Rs 3.5 crores respectively.
