The voting process for Viewers’ Choice Zee Cine Awards began yesterday with the official website of the film listing out the nominations in the Top 4 categories – which includes ‘Song Of The Year’ but does not include nominations for the ‘Best Director’.
The Best Actor category has 6 nominations – Aamir Khan for Dangal, Salman Khan for Sultan (currently leading in votes), Amitabh Bachchan for Pink, Akshay Kumar for Airlift, Sushant Singh Rajput for MS Dhoni The Untold Story and Ranbir Kapoor for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The glaring omission is Shah Rukh Khan, who performed brilliantly in FAN, but it looks like Zee has opted only for films that were commercially successful.
The Best Actress category has nominations for Sonam Kapoor (Neerja), Alia Bhatt (Udta Punjab – leading), Anushka Sharma (Sultan)m Taapsee Pannu (Pink), Alia Bhatt (Dear Zindagi) and Fatima Sana Shaikh (Dangal).
The Best Film category has Dangal (leading), Neerja, Sultan, Pink, Rustom, MS Dhoni The Untold Story.
The Song of the Year category is dominated by films from Dharma Productions. Kala Chashma, Channa Mereya, Kar Gayi Chull and even The Breakup Song is nominated. But there isn’t a nomination for one of the most popular songs of last year, the title song of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Dangal Dangal and Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai are also nominated.

i think salman should win best actor, he deservs, because peple loved him as sultan, srk was also very good in fan but he can’t win for a flop film .ranbir’ performnce in adhm was brilliant but film was averag so i dont think he will win..but he will sweep alll awards for dutt bio next year

Salman should win its more complete. Dangal has the girls just like pink. Adhm is half-baked . Also why ignore gems like the two bullets songs ? Especially Sultan’s, it’s my all time favorite Indian song of all time. It grows on you.

Long time ago, AK did better in Rangeela etc but all awards ignore him & only focus on SRK.

@hrithik making money with south remake masala action movies continousaly following a particular recipes and depend on a particular edx date in early days any how made himself to be part of big film where his leading lady totally dominated over him and he was not able to prove himself as second lead. than how can anybody think about awards??????? To see your’s previously comment it look like angoore khate hai. Instead of blaming any particular thing. Your’s star has to learn something from young actors like ranveer, ranbir, saheed kapur, hrithik even old stars like rishi & amitabh bachan they all are capable enough to snatch awards unlike making lalu excuses.

its shocking airlift isn’t getting any nomination for best film, it deserves recognition, a movie that celebrates india’s historical achievements deserves to be amongst the best film nominations.
dangal got all the accolades for countries global achievements and it deserves its and so does airlift which is way more important story, but because akshay wasn’t in dangal and aamir it gets recognition, if it was opposite and someone else was in airlift it wouldn’t get the rejection as it has happened.
