The nominations for the Viewer’s Choice Zee Cine Awards 2016 was released yesterday. The awards ceremony will be held on February 20, 2016, at the Bandra Reliance Jio Gardens.
The Zee Cine Awards 2016 will be aired on television on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Kangana for TWMR any day any time. I think that is the best performance I watched in the entire 2015 (and I am including all heroes and heroines here). Dont think Deepika or any other today’s actress could have done that “Kusum” role such convincingly. She was amazing in both Kusum and Tannus role. Was totally bowled over by her. Now looking forward to watching Rangoon mainly because of her.
Among heroes I would have voted for Salman for BB if he would have been nominated. Frankly after so many films he had delivered an award winning performance (but still not that good to be deserving of a National Award) so he deserved a few awards for BB this years. Not that it would any make difference to him. But now that he is not nominated I will definitely vote for Amitabh shb for Piku.
In the best movies list, BB definitely deserved nominated ahead of Piku.
Still I would praise Zee Cine for one thing that barring one or two nominations, overall it seems that they have made efforts to nominate “performances” and not “stars”. This is where Filmfare awards failed. Hero of a movie like Maskaan coming in the best heroes list ahead of SRK, Salman, Akshay, etc is a pleasant surprise even though I havent seen Maskaan yet (it was in my watch list but somehow I missed watching it). Similarly, Kalki in the heroines list is also an unconventional choice. It is good to see new names for a change.
I am a SRK fan but to be real its a pathatic to ignore Salman Khan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan from any nominations….

Imo, nomination for best film should have been as follow: bb, baby, drishyam, bajirao mastani, twmr and piku. Winner baby or bb.
Best actor nomination: salman khan for bb, akshay kumar for baby or for gabbar is back, irrfan khan for talvar, ranveer singh for bajirao mastani, ayushman for dum laga ke haisha and ajay for drishyam. Winner salman, ajay or akshay(each of them equally deserve award)
Best actress nomination: Kangana for twmr, anushka for nh10, deepika for piku or bajirao and pc for bajirao.

Also, as much as I mock Bhai, but honestly Bajrangi Bhaijaan was an excellent movie & Bhai’s performance was nomination worthy (award worthy for me personally). Also I really feel Ajay Devgn should have been nominated because he was exceptional in Drishyam, for God knows what reason he hasn’t been nominated in all of the shows this year.
