A new trend in Bollywood seems to be remaking Amitabh Bachchan’s old classics. Farhan Akhtar remade Don and followed it up with a sequel. Karan Johar remade Agneepath, which was a huge success at the box-office even though the original Bachchan film failed commercially.
Now, director Apoorva Lakhia, director of films like Ek Ajnabee and Shootout at Lokhandwala, is likely to remake one of Amitabh Bachchan’s best films Zanjeer (1973). The shooting for which, is likely to begin in the month of April.
Zanjeer was originally produced and directed by Prakash Mehra. It also featured Jaya Bachchan, Pran, Ajit and Bindu. The film, written by Salim-Javed, was a box-office blockbuster.
The big suspense regarding the actor who will reprise Amitabh’s role is yet to be revealed.
Only Hrithik has potential to wear the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan and Srk can only smell them.
No actor has potential to wear amitabh’s shoes neither srk nor hrithik and agneepath’s success is not due to hritik its a commulative performance of sanjay dutt,hritik and rishi kapoor and karan malhotra the director who made this remake intelligently.

Only Hrithik can do justice to Big B’s role.Hrithik has proved in Agneepath.It will be foolish decision if Khan is taken for the role in Agneepath.

There is only one Amitabh, his roles in most of his 1970s films were extraordinary. There are so many good actors currently in Bollywood BUT No actor can come near the star status of AB. However, in our view, Mr. Ajay Devgan would be most suitable to replay the excellent role played by the great Amitabh Bachan in 1973.

only one khiladi kumar means akshaykumar is a perfect choice for remake of janjeer no other actor compare to akshaykumar for said lead role.i.e.khakee, mohra etc.it’s perfect role of police officer.
