The recent controversy involving Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, former teammate Yuvraj Singh and his father Yograj Singh, hasn’t affected the equation between Dhoni and Yuvraj.
The star cricketer, who was left out of the ongoing cricket world cup, along with several other crickets like Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, will make an appearance in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming film which is based on the life of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Sources say, the film film has gone on floors. Last minute changes will then be made to the script, depending on how India perform at the World Cup.
“Yuvraj Singh has confirmed and so has Harbhajan Singh. The rest of the players are yet to confirm. But almost all the cricketers will be making the appearance in the film” a source said.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput plays MS Dhoni in the film.

@HHH – Trust me, we would have won the last WC no matter what. Every team needs 11 players to win, not just 1 captain. He had absolutely zero contribution besides his captaincy (India usually wins in India though) until the finals.
Do you expect Zimbabwe to win a WC should MS Dhoni be their captain? He’s not the best finisher, either. AB de Villiers and Kohli are better finishers than him, he’s just a best “match dragger”. For example, if a match could be finished in 49th over, others will try to finish it in 48th and Dhoni in 50th. He’s good, but some people overrate him a lot.

Not a fan of MS but this remark, “He had zero contribution apart from captaincy” Is way too harsh. Come on man, captaincy is not a joke! MS is one of the most calm captains I have ever seen.
This man takes risks. Huge risks. Giving Last over to Joginder Sharma (back in 2008) was not a joke. And as a player, he performs tremendously well under pressure. Yes, he drags it to last overs some times but he rarely throws his wicket under pressure.
Having said that, I don’t think there was any need to make a biopic on him. We should have made that on legends like Sachin, Dravid or Ganguly. I agree people overrate him a bit too much, but one surely can’t ignore his contribution to 2011 World Cup.

@rohit virat is gud bt nt gr8 finisher & we often havent seen him finishing the game.Even legends have agreed tht he is a brilliant finisher.DON’T BE TOO HARSH ON HIM.U CAN’T NEGLECT HIS CONTRIBUTION!!!Ya often w feel like he is playing too slow bt he knows he can finish the game in just 1 or 2 overs.so he doesn’t throw up his wicket.

Cant believe ppl are slagging of Dhonis captaincy….. Not easy to manage a team of premadonnas, star players, egos and divisions to boot… Oh yeah also the small matter of a billion plus fans expectations and huge media pressure inc Strict critics like former captains and our very own resident drunk stroke strict critic nipun kumar the apprentice to krk… The man is ultra cool and extremely relaxed well on the surface n its this quality of his to maintain his calm on n off the field that brings out the best in his teammates as no side can perform when their captain is cracking under the pressure so kudos to Dhoni…!
Just for the record I wont be paying to watch this biopic as I see no point in biopics unless ofcourse there are of legendary retired sportsman like Ali or Jake Lamotta but then again I love most boxing flicks so that helps.
Cricketers biopic in future should include Azharuddin, Ganguly, Miandad and Imran Khan- mostly as these lot had off field tales to tell that aroused alot of public curiosity n controversy…!
Sachin Tendulkars biopic- not for me as it would just be too straightforward- cricket, centuries etc etc which you can already buy in dvds like ‘Best of Sachin’ or ‘100 Not Out’ etc etc so no point in watching it in theatres.

if u feel that all 11 players perform to win the match -yes i agree but with players like sachin dravid laxman ganguly himself kumble bhajji zaheer yuvraj – india didnt win worldcups under captainship of dravid nd ganguly.
but with young team india – dhoni won first t20 than worldcup 2011 than champions trophy.

Loved to see Ganguly Biopic, it would be very interesting and having many layers.
@rohit I think today innings of dhoni is simple to show how important player he is for Indian cricket.And there are many occasion when he finished or fetch victory from opponent. MSD won WC 2011,T20 WC in 2007,Champions trophy,Was only captain of Indian History whose team became test no. 1 side that too for straight 1.5 years.And you are saying Dhoni is nothing big for Indian.
For me I always rate Captains higher than individual cricketer.I will always Rate Kapil Dev,Saurav Ganguly and MSD equivalent to Sachin,Dravid and Gavaskar.The latter three are great batsman while the former 3 are the ones who made Indian Cricket team big as it has now.Dhoni is undoubly best Odi captain for India while Ganguly is best Test Captain for us.Long live the legend.

Agree that Mahi is India’s best captain till that but not the best finisher. We can say he is one of the best finisher in modern cricket.
We can’t ignore the likes of AB Devilliers who is still playing & Australian retired duo Michael Bevan & Michal Hussey.
