A. Salman Khan has ‘Diwali 2016’ with him, which happens to be Shahrukh’s ‘favourite weekend’, so it all balances out in the end. There could be some sort of mutual understanding between the Khans that each of them gets one festive release. Since Aamir doesn’t have a release this year, Salman has two films lined up this year - Bajrangi Bhaijaan during Eid and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo during Diwali. Also, there is uncertainty around Sultan and Dharma’s Shhuddhi also goes on floors later this year. For now, Raees is pretty much confirmed to arrive during Eid. It will be Shahrukh Khan during Eid next year!
Q. After back to back flops like Happy Ending, Humshakals and Bullett Raja, will Saif Ali Khan’s Phantom stand a chance to become a blockbuster? – Zeeshan Aareez
A. Blockbuster looks difficult at this stage as the costs are high. The opening should be decent, but there are reports that the film is too similar to Akshay Kumar’s Baby, which could affect its business in the long run.

A. Too early to talk about ‘Mohenjo Daro’. The film has just gone on floors, we would have to wait for the trailer to release before making any predictions.

A. Today – Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra. 2000’s is debatable. Rani Mukherji, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Kareena Kapoor and even Kajol were very popular.

A. Currently, there are 3 films scheduled to release on October 2nd. Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bling (which is likely to be delayed or shelved), John Abraham’s Rocky Handsome and Irrfan Khan’s Talwar. So the Gandhi Jayanti weekend will definitely not be ‘wasted’!

@Babaji, come on dude. Aish was one of the best actress of 2000s. she has given blockbusters,superhits and hits…films like Mohabbatein ,Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai ,Devdas ,Raincoat ( can easily be Aishwarya Rai’s best performance till date),khakee,Dhoom 2 ,Guru ,Jodhaa Akbar.
I would say only Rani and Pretty Zinta were ahead of her in terms of awards.
I dont think ‘Morning Darr’ will open to more than 25cr as Gowarikers movies since Lagaan have been totally boring…!

Both of them wld minimally cross 100 crores easily. Audience will now b divided. Urban vs Mass Srk vs Sallu. But attaining 200 crore wld b hard for both movies. I will say 165 and 150 any of them. Salman is glamorously bigger than Ajay no doubt not in acting though. After lagaan vs Gadar SOS vs Jthj showed d world once u r a big superstar irrespective of clash your movie can excel! Aamir vs Sunny King Khan vs Ajay all excelled. So sultan vs raes shdnt b an issue only that producers wld wanna make huge money based on both costs so clash is not possible. Ego vs Ego another factor.

But Pretty zinta esp kya kehna Rani mukherjee bunty babli sathiya Kareena chameli jab we met etc could carry their movies even without Saif Vivek or Abishek so IMO 2000s were for 1. Preety 2. Kareena 3. Rani 4. Ashwariya 5. Bipashu basu/Vidya balan. Just my view subject to disagreement.

Srk waited for Salman confirmation during Eid 2013. He announced CE release date only when Salman confirmed no release in 2013. This is enough to prove whose scared of whom. This is 2016 not 2006 when Salman was doing movies for friends without caring about his career n image !!!!!!!!!!!
