It has been a 7 year long wait for the 3rd Dhoom film and now with less than a day to go for the year’s biggest film, the million dollar question is.. if the film can go on to be the highest grosser of all time.
Currently, Krrish 3 is the highest grosser with Rs 245 crore net (including all versions) and the trade will also be looking at the records held by 3 Idiots (202 crore – Aamir Khan’s highest grosser) and Chennai Express (227 crore).
Dhoom 3 Highest Grosser of All Time?
If Dhoom 3 goes on to beat the above mentioned films, it could well settle the debate over the highest grosser of 2013, as a section of the trade believes that Krrish 3 did not go past the lifetime collections of Chennai Express.
Almost every factor is in the film’s favour – two of the biggest stars in the industry (Aamir and Katrina), no major releases for 3 weeks, one of the biggest production houses in the industry (Yash Raj Films) and arguably the most popular franchise in Bollywood. Also, the audience know what to except from a film like Dhoom. As long as the film is entertaining, it should go on to break box office records.

Dhoom 3 will be the highest grosser in India. In worst case in top 3. And Aamir has promised to give real collections and not manipulated figures like Krrish 3. Overseas it will make at least 10 million dollars but more than that I cannot say.

Dhoom 3 worldwide – 600 crores
Its trailer has a lot of similarities with “Now You See Me”. If it indeed is similar to it, then I guess the audience is going to like it, because that movie was a commercial success, and I liked that as well. I think over 250 crores (domestically) is possible if it receives positive response by the audience, could also create a new 300 crore club should it meet the expectations.

Dhoom3 got 3week free run plus no major release before 24th jan, so anything less than 250cr will be disappoinment, as for ce got 6open days n k3 got 2open weeks, d3 will get 5open weeks n hike tickt price
krrish3 is the highest grossing movie till date. The problem is perception where everyone believes khans should hold all possible records. More particularly srk fans have a problem coz they know their idol wont break any more records after ce. I feel dhoom3 will end up between 190-200crs and end up as the third highest grosser of the year.

1) Non Holiday Opening day record of Krish 3.
2) Highest 1st week collection’s of Krish 3.
3) Fastest to cross 200 Cr of Krish 3.
4) Highest grosser ever crossing 250 Cr.

2) Highest single day collection as National Holiday Christmas is coming mid of next week. By that time most would have watched this movie.

Yes Chennai Express record is now in real danger. Recently in ETC bollywood business when komal nahata asked Aamir about first day record, his answer was Ek Tha Tiger instead of Chennai Express of BOI.. Now my belief is even more on those sites and actors also follow their business only.. And according to both sites Krrish 3 figures is below 200 crores.. forget about records.. As far as records is concerned again i am saying Dhoom 3 is capable of crushing each and every records except Worldwide collection of Chennai Express……Though it is also not impossible for Dhoom 3 but Certainly difficult.
