At the Tata Tetley Green Tea launch event, Kareena Kapoor spoke about Dharma Productions’ ‘Shuddhi’ which she signed a few months ago.
When a journalist asked her about the current status of Karan Malhotra’s ambitious next, Kareena said she is clueless.
“As of now I don’t know what is happening regarding that film, as it is being postponed since since one and half years. I have not met Karan Johar and I don’t think he has even has got Hrithik’s dates for the film as he is busy with Bang Bang” Kareena told reporters.
When asked if she is doing the film when it eventually goes on floors, Kareena said she will decide on whether to do the film or not depending on her mood.
“I will decide whether to do it. It will depend on my mood at that time” she said.
Initially scheduled to go on floors in the month of December 2013, Shuddhi was delayed after the film’s lead star Hrithik Roshan suffered a brain injury while shooting for his upcoming film Bang Bang.

@Mithaiwala – True, it wouldn’t be fair to accuse SRK for it. JTHJ’s budget was 60 crore, and its BOI figure was 102 crore, that’s why they gave it just a hit, just like they gave Chennai Express (yeah, its just a blockbuster by BOI) and Krrish 3 a blockbuster, but they are all time blockbuster elsewhere, while Agneepath’s BOI figure was almost double of its budget, hence they gave it a superhit verdict. I am really surprised that they didn’t give an all time blockbuster status to Chennai Express, yet they have declared Dhoom 3 an all time blockbuster, even though CE also became highest grosser by their own figure. If they considered budget factor, then CE was more profitable by more than doubling its budget. I don’t know what logic they really use?
@sht – Wrong, again according to BOI, Krrish 3 collected just above 187 crore, more than both YJHD and ETT. Producers/BOI wise also, Rowdy Rathore and Agneepath collected more than JTHJ in 2012, that’s why he didn’t put it in top-3 of 2012.
BOI has certainly gained a lot of publicity by this recent controversy. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, they have just updated/relaunched their website, it has also raised the questions that was it just a publicity stunt? Either way, we should use our brain, and my brain says if Dhoom 3 can collect 36 Cr on a non holiday Friday and over 100Cr in weekend, then I don’t see any reason why Krrish 3 couldn’t collect 25Cr on its opening day and 72Cr in weekend. 18Cr opening was way too low for a movie like it.

It seems IT officers have asked Roshans to pay extra tax for the 67 crore difference in collections.
Means they are suffering from their own deeds. Now they have even lost Kareena who is afraid they will deflate her fees just like they inflated k3 collections :D
