Fresh from the success of his latest home-production ‘Madras Cafe’, John Abraham along with Shruthi Hassan, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and director Anees Bazmee announced the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster.
John replaces Akshay Kumar in the sequel, while Shruthi has been signed to play the female lead in place of Katrina Kaif. Asin was approached to play her role, but couldn’t be a part of the film due to unavailability of dates.
Anees Basee, who last directed Salman Khan in ‘Ready’, returns as director.
The film will release in theatres next year.
