Vote: Best Newcomer (debut) – Male

The future of Bollywood brightened over the last one year with a few talented youngsters making a mark on debuts. Imraan Khan was by far the most popular newcomer of the year, for his brilliant act in Abbas Tyrewala’s Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Harman Baweja’s Love Story 2050 which also released on the same day as Jaane Tu.. failed at the box-office, but Harman received decent amount of praise for his Hrithik-like act.

Rajeev Khandelwal, the television superstar popular for his role as Sujal in Kahin Tho Hoga.. achieved a close-to-perfect performance on his debut in Aamir. Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh made a much anticipated debut, but the movie sank without a trace at the box-office. Anupam and Kiron Kher’s son Sikhander Kher too made his debut in Woodstock Villa, the result was similar – a box-office dud.

Others newcomers are Rajneesh Duggal in 1920, Nikhil Dwivedi in My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves and Shekar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman in Haal-e-Dil.
