Amitabh Bachchan started the trend with Kaun Banega Crorepathi, the third part of which was hosted by Shahrukh Khan, who also went on to host Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Teez Hai (which didn’t do too well).
Salman Khan has enjoyed great popularity as the host of Dus Ka Dum, the show currently in season 2 has continues to work with the audience. Akshay Kumar is all set to host the second season of Kathron Ke Khiladi.
Karan Johar has hosted Koffee with Karan, Farah Khan is currently hosting Tere Mere Beach Mein and the latest is that Amitabh Bachchan will make a television return with Bigg Boss 3!! It possibly can’t get bigger than this.
Looks like, apart from Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, almost all the top stars have hosted television shows. Are they like waiting for the “perfect” shows?

unbelievable . people just vote on favoritism basis . i have seen them all host . i believe, AKKI,BIG b and Sallu are the best hots so far on Television and this reflects In TRPs of their shows and the type of money they are getting for the shows. even Rajeev khandelwaal In Sach Ka saamna is better than SRk and Srk’s fans have voted Him without thinking about the real purpose behind this question. Id say DKD is da best show wid da best host.
1. Salman didnt like da idea of celebritys coming, but wen SONY told him dat da money dey win will go to charity he accepted.
2. wen normal people come da TRP’s r just as high.
3. i liked SRK in KBC but his show Panchvi Pass was well beaten by DKD, hence da 2nd season of DKD came and went and da former no where to be seen.
