Both Vicky Donor and Hate Story opened to a good response at the box office on Friday. As expected, Vicky Donor was better at multiplexes, while Hate Story due to it’s sleazy adult content got a better response at single-screens.
Vicky Donor is carrying good reports, the film was received well by both the critics and the audience. First day business was around 2 crore. The occupancy was better on Saturday, with bigger numbers expected on Sunday. We expect the first weekend to be around 7 crore nett.
Sex sells, which pretty much explains why Hate Story opened well. Friday numbers are slightly higher than Vicky Donor (few lakhs). The film seems to have worked with the target audience and should finish it’s weekend with around 6 crores nett business.
We expect Vicky Donor’s weekend numbers to be higher, since the film is doing well at multiplexes, where the ticket prices are much higher compared to single screens.
Vicky Donor will hopefully turn out to be a HIT..and will stay for coming weeks..seeing the good reports..

Vicky Donor: Vicky Donor: Just a perfect entertainer by Mr. shujit sircar, Theme was nice (it was hyped in a wrong sense). Perfectly choosed the characters, and above expectations, Anu kapoor and the debutant ayushmaan has done a wonderful job. 1st half was full with fun moments, with best comic timing by both the above characters. Anu kapoor was brilliant, and has played his part with ease. Ayushmaan was stupendous and has made his impression a lot better. He was really natural in the whole film which was the best part. Yami Gautam didnt get much scope but the thing which has to be mentioned was her looks, she looks stunning through out the film and was decent. Again the best chemistry was between the mother of ayushmaan n his grandmother. grand mother was the show stealer and was just the one to make us hold on the seat while she comes on the screen.
On the whole, this is sure shot must go movie, and i insist everybody to catch this fun ride. Kudos to shujit sircar and the talented lead actor.
One more thing to catch the audience is the punjabi song, “Pani da rang….”
