Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana passed away on Friday after a long battle with cancer, a family friend said.
She was 74 and is survived by her foster daughter.
“Sadhana (Shivdasani) breathed her last at her home this morning” her friend Shaina N.C. said.
A top rung star in the 1960s and 1970s, Sadhana was born in Karachi. Her family moved to India and settled in Mumbai when she was barely seven years old following the country’s partition.
She entered films as a child actress in 1955 with a minor appearance in Raj Kapoor’s film “Shree 420”. In 1958, she had a significant role in India’s first Sindhi language film ‘Abaana’.
Some of her best known movies were “Ek Musafir Ek Hasina”, “Asli Nakli”, “Mere Mehboob”, “Waqt”, “Who Kaun Thi?” and “Mera Sayaa”.
Aarzoo is my favourite movie of her can’t farget the song- bedardi baalama tujhko mera man yaad karta hai. her haircut was very famous at her time sadhna cut. rip sadhna ji.
May Almighty grant her paradise. Haven’t watched many movies of hers but she was very charming.. Tall and pretty.
There’s a particular song I love she and manoj kumar in a thriller movie, she’s wearing white (double role)…

I have watched only arzoo among her films .it is one of the films i liked .i lost my interest in saajan after watching it due to much similarity.
