The trade had huge expectations from Veer and as of today, the Salman Khan starrer directed by Anil Sharma has managed to live upto it.
As we all know by now, business at multiplexes all over India was on the lower side (30-40%) right from Day 1 (Friday). Monday witnessed a further crash and the film has been rejected at the plexes. Collections down south are disastrous, business in two key centers in Karnataka – Bangalore and Mangalore – is way below expectations.
But what’s heartening is the fact that, the target audience of Veer, have taken to the film big time. Business at B and C centers in India is strong and the trending is pretty good.
Collections were strong on Friday, followed by a minor dip on Saturday, picked up again with Sunday recording the best collections for the weekend. Weekdays were always going to be crucial and the film has sustained well – Monday witnessed an expected dip in collections, but business on Republic day (Tuesday) was record breaking, similar to the boost that Wanted received on its first Monday.
Below are the day to day collections of Veer
- Friday – 7 crores
- Saturday – 6 crores
- Sunday – 7.5 to 8 crores
- Monday – 3 crores
- Tuesday – 6.5 crores
5 day total – approx 31 crores.
Week 1 is expected to be somewhere between 34 – 36 crores.
What remains to be seen in the next few days
- Can Veer sustain and match its Monday collections during the remaining two weekdays i.e today and tomorrow?
- Will the release of Rann and Ishqiya affect its collections? Unlikely to, since both releases this week are targeted mainly at the multiplex audience.

And Insallah…Veer will do well for next couple of weeks. No major release till 12th Feb..so single screen will be still occupied by Veer. N singleplexex alone will make it Big HIT. N folks overseas collection is no longer US+UK….Midle East,UAE,Pak, Gulf is bigger market these days and Veer is a runaway hit there already.
So guys take a chill pill & hve fun. Dnt care a shit for crackhead like Megha,Adi etc. Dnt knw how to show respect…..atleast Sallu fans are nt that crass & cheap…..Anyways guys…just have fun. Don’t miss the movie and go n watch this movies again & again like we Hyderabadis do ..with friends…family.

The trades of bollywood are taran, komal, business of cinema,BOI is known in the internet only, but veer has done 32.97 crore net 1st week and according BOI it did 32.50cr net, so taran gave slightly higher, i doubt veer will get hit status, it has been profitable for a lot of distributors but its not enough to recover all the investment, hence the verdict is above average to semihit, and you cannot take calulation.com which isn’t a known reliable site.
rajib, taran is an official trade anlyst, so you cant call him unreliable, and tarans figure is right, he 1st gave 32.97cr net then BOI gave exact same but slight lower in lakhs

BOI has not yet Updated Actual figures. those Were early estimates. Hoping it to be in the 33-34 cr range for week1
each analyst will give different figures but close ones, anywa, i doubt veer will be a hit as its multiplex still bad, if veer got atleast 7 cr net total from multiplex 1st week then it wud of been near 40cr net hence more likely for hit status. eros will lose some money though.

Veer Drops Over Second Weekend

Veer dropped over its second weekend with around 5.25 crore nett business. The drop is around 70-75% from the first weekend. Multiplexes have seen business fall around 80-85% while single screens have fallen around 65%.
This takes the 10 day business of Veer to around 36.25 crore nett including the Telugu version. The film should add another 2.50-2.75 crore nett over the weekdays for a near 8 crore nett total for week two.
Veer is looking at lifetime business of around 42 crore nett and a distributor share of 25-26 crore. Veer is a very rare case for a big film that only 30% of its lifetime nett business will come from all India multiplexes while all the rest will be from single screens.

A. No its not a flop as per Indian theatrical business. Distributors of many circuits will make money while Eros will lose money and today its very rare that the whole chain makes money. Overall the Indian theatrical business will be Average/Above Average.

dont try to be so cool, there are many quotation from BOI where it is state veer is above avg, to likely semi hit, business dropped 60% in second weekend, expedted, but DS shared 25 carore in 2 weeks ,Mr, amish r u kidding me it avg, or below avg, for get the DS of 25 carore you need business of 50 carore plus from multiplex, where DS share is between 25 to 40% depends uopn no# of prints also, and ut is vary typical calculation for multiplex, they dont let DS make money , thats why most of the movies they did good net in multiplex but still considered aveg or avg+, like KI , blue, wake up sid, De Dana Dan, Kaminey, these alll are above avg or avg movies , KI has 47 carore but DS was only 19 carore , blue has net business 50+ but DS was 22 carore, same Kaminey was low budjet movie of busines net 42 carore with DS of 26 carore bcz it had some good run of single screen which help kaminey to get above avg tag, but in Veer all the revenue is cooming from Single screen, in 10 days the DS share is 22+ carore means if it was multiplex, Veer had to have 49 to 50 carore plus business to get this huge share, Veer has been in the safe zone due to single screen huge run and has easily achieved semi hit status in 10 days (on the basis of DS share of 25 carore), what ever business in will do , it will strenghten it status to HIT, whether you acceot or not that is the fact, I am not hard core fan of Salman Khan but I am the fan of Salman khan and telling you the truth based on facts, if according to amish Veer is “avg” then kaminey is flop, bcz it had run of 42 carore only 25% revenue came from single screen, whether you believe or not, you will see Veer will get semi hit or hit status by BOI, thats for sure, above avg it has been corssed in 10 days due to DS share, 25 carore guys believe me it is huge share, I do admit that Net business is avg or abive avg, but here film success is based in DS, and Veer has gone so far

UK- £39,822- total= £254,971 in 36screens ( 1.84cr)

The drop was very huge. around 75-80%. so Veer a Flop Overseas. Lifetime will be around 6-7cr.
Fell badly in its second weekend.
However, was decent at single screens of some circuits.
Is a success in SOME territories on the strength of its solid single screen business.
But Eros, the presenters of the film, will lose money.

That means boxofficeindia didn’t include the income of Telugu version, so the amount they are showing in their website is not correct and unacceptable! boxofficeindia should include the Telugu version’s income as it is Total income in India, but by not including the Telugu income BOI is misguiding the people! And in your overseas income why didn’t u mention the excellent box office collection of Veer from Pakistan and Dubai? heh..heh.. heh… cheating again, misguiding people and try to hurt Sallu fans… heh?? Or trying to make Salman’s Veer a loser like 15 critics and many News channels tried it unsuccessfully? Whatever ‘ll be the final verdict of veer that does not matter with Salman..as he has achieved what he wanted to ..I was not a fan of Sallu..but post Wanted he has improved himself a lot…he is talking nicely,no stress on his face..look wise too hot now a days.. acting also improved…..day by day getting better..
As a whole he is well accepted as a worrier..Tarn also wrote plus point of Veer is Salman..this same Salman was criticised for yuvraj..was looking too bad..

The final verdict of veer hasn’t come out yet and if one talks about business so i think it is not correctly shown, till monday it was 33 or 34 cr and now it is 30 cr by BOI. It seems that there is something in the bottom (daal me kuch kaala hai) taran is realy doing a villianious role here he has shown overseas report and said serous surprise but look at the position and his words to describe their position.

1st thing even if the figure are exaggerated then also with the actual fig there should not be so much different even if we dont see the fig of indicine at this moment then also then also there should not be so much different the difference is coming around 2.5 cr that also from net and not gross even if u take the collection of bollywood hungama they declared it 32,950,142 alomg with the breakdown that approx 33 cr so the differnce is again with 3 cr approx and now if you take the collection of 35 cr 1st week agin the difference is 5 cr with the net m not taking the collection of calcutta tube and make sure that DDD was no where compare to veer at single screen samjha kya why you people are comparing DDD with VEER one is perodic movie which rarely works at box office and 2 nd is comedy which is all time favo of audience agar compare karne hai to APKGK se karna phir hamlog hansenge ha ha ha ha
