The trade had huge expectations from Veer and as of today, the Salman Khan starrer directed by Anil Sharma has managed to live upto it.
As we all know by now, business at multiplexes all over India was on the lower side (30-40%) right from Day 1 (Friday). Monday witnessed a further crash and the film has been rejected at the plexes. Collections down south are disastrous, business in two key centers in Karnataka – Bangalore and Mangalore – is way below expectations.
But what’s heartening is the fact that, the target audience of Veer, have taken to the film big time. Business at B and C centers in India is strong and the trending is pretty good.
Collections were strong on Friday, followed by a minor dip on Saturday, picked up again with Sunday recording the best collections for the weekend. Weekdays were always going to be crucial and the film has sustained well – Monday witnessed an expected dip in collections, but business on Republic day (Tuesday) was record breaking, similar to the boost that Wanted received on its first Monday.
Below are the day to day collections of Veer
- Friday – 7 crores
- Saturday – 6 crores
- Sunday – 7.5 to 8 crores
- Monday – 3 crores
- Tuesday – 6.5 crores
5 day total – approx 31 crores.
Week 1 is expected to be somewhere between 34 – 36 crores.
What remains to be seen in the next few days
- Can Veer sustain and match its Monday collections during the remaining two weekdays i.e today and tomorrow?
- Will the release of Rann and Ishqiya affect its collections? Unlikely to, since both releases this week are targeted mainly at the multiplex audience.

for Veer’s Super hit status it need 33 cr plus distributer shares and for hit it needs 30 cr distributer share.
in 6 days movie collected near 31-32 cr net with 17-18 cr distributer share.
so for Hit status it needs 12-13 cr more DS and for super hit like wanted it needs 15 cr+ DS.
if veer will get normal 2nd week near to 10-12 cr then total will be 45 cr and it can recover 5 cr more in 3rd and 4th week. and get above avrage / semi hit status.
but it should perform good in 2nd weekend.
but if Veer will drop badly in 2nd week and gets less than 8-9 cr then total will be 42-43 cr and it will very hard to reach at 50 cr so then it will declare avarage.
so u need to promote veer among ur friends , relatives , colleagues and other people who r on net.
i think i explain in very decent and easy wording , and i am hope full that here lots of people wont like my this comment as well like my review or other predictions.

Nauman vai, I like dis comment apart from one portion. Veer has already collected 20 crore distributor share. So it needs 10 crore more disributor share to get a clean hit status nd 13 crore 2 get a super hit satus. Thanks. Plz dnt hav any hard feelings. I think Veer will get 35 crore this week ( according 2 Indicine ) or 34 crore…..15-16 crore next week, nd 10 crore rest of da lifetym………so total 60 crore = super hit. Nauman vai, all my predictions have gone ryt so far……I told on da 1st day dat Veer will collect 35-40 crore 1st week……..So I hope dis prediction will also work……….Bye
@ Nauman, VEER’s 6 days collection is 31-32 crores is correct. But it’s DS comes to be 19-20 crores. coz the most revenues are coming from Single Screens DS is more.
Acc. to BOI first day’s collection were 7 crores with DS of 4.25 cr-4.5 cr. This Means DS is almost 60.9% of net collection.
So, DS till now is in the range of 19-20 crores. If u check yesterday’s collection for VEER, BOI said 1 week is likely to end at 33 crores with DS of more than 20 crores.
So, apart from DS i agree with ur’s above post.
If VEER does not do well in 2nd week then, it will end as AVG. But if does well then ABOVE AVG- SEMI HIT is possible.
If Slightly better then HIT also possible

BOI said it will finish 1st week with 33 cr and 20 cr DS , but till now DS is 18-19 cr in 6 days which i already mentioned but i said it is 17-18 cr , 1 cr deference is acceptable.

@Nauman your prediction not correct veer in india or abroad till yesterday has collected 41 crore and doing good business in Dubai,pakistan so if it earn 10 crore in india next week (Minimum Estimation) and 6 crore from abroad then buddy definately its collection will be around (57-65) crore so hit sure shot.

Salman Khan’s latest flick ‘Veer’, wherein he enacted the character of a Pindari warrior opposite newbie Zarine Khan, rocked the single screen theaters of Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, UP, Bihar and fetched a handsome amount of Rs 19.50 crore in net over the weekend.
The corresponding amount for Salman Khan’s last super duper hit action flick ‘Wanted’ was only Rs 17.25 crore, which makes ‘Veer’ a better preposition at the box office. Sources from Eros International, the distributor of the flick, say that ‘Veer’ has grossed Rs 32 crore in India alone on the weekend and the holiday on Republic day must have boosted the figures further.
Salman Khan’s latest film, which had been released with around 1300 prints in the country, also brought in Rs 9 crore from the overseas territories. How can the movie be a hit with a DS of 32-33 cr? It has been sold for 70 cr. With a DS of 32-33 cr, it will just break through. Aaj Kal hit ka matlab change ho gaya kya, if you recover your costs, movie is hit? LMAO
