He has had many advantages of becoming a well known director’s son. From being launched by the Karan Johar SOTY to being directed by his own dad Main Tera Hero…. Working with Dharma Production, Great Music, ABCD sequel…. Badlapur was fine but Nawazuddin took away most credit..…
However, Varun can dance very well there is no doubt. He is stylish and charming.
What some users here need to understand is that Varun has a long way to go to be called a superstar. Just because his one film out performed Akki’s movies this year doesn’t mean he is a bigger star than Akki.

When Amir salman srk ajay hritik Akki was in first three years, each of them have given atleast one top 5 grosser of the year. Amir- Dil, salman- mpk, sajan, baghi, sanam bewafa, srk deewana, bazigar darr, ajay- phool aur kante,akshay- mohra hritk knph mission Kashmir etc. let’s see if abcd2 comes among top 5 grosser of d year or not. Besides that all these actors were specialized in something and made big impact as individual srk Amir for acting, salman for looks, Akki ajay for action and hritik for dance action physics etc. varun don’t have anything special even though he have good physic that every other newcomer have it. All his successful movies are low scale successful like emraan hashimi who has more bigger virdict movies than many A lister. These actor like emraan, shahid, ranveer, varun earlier it was jackey, etc doesn’t carry universal appeal. Atleast jackey had many solo-multistarrer big hit behind him like hero, ram lakhan, karma, khalnayak etc but never consider top rank because of his low collection hit movies like Teri mehrbaniya, izzat, police officer, Allah rakha. Similar thing happnd with mithunda Only ranbeer kapoor from in recent year have that appeal. Hope varun too join it but I m sure still it wont even touch govinda’s or Sanjay dutt success let alone srk salman Amir hritik high.

Dangal will only release on Christmas and people will go to watch dangal only even with clash because aamir khan name is enough to smash each and every record.
