After Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan, who were previously announced as the lead stars of Karan Malhotra’s ambitious film ‘Shuddhi’, it will be Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who will be headlining the film.
Karan Johar made the announcement on Twitter “And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT…directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..”
Director Malhotra tweeted “SHHUDDHI starts immediately after BROTHERS!!!! My 3rd with Karan Johar!! Alia Bhatt & Varun Dhawan welcome aboard!!!”
Salman Khan too wished Varun on bagging the film “Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan…made ur dad n me so proud of u… happy Shhuddhi”
Well, after several changes to the star cast, ‘Shhuddhi’ will finally go on floors after the release of ‘Brothers’. It remains to be seen if the makers will cut down on the cost and scale of the film, now that it has a much smaller star cast as compared to superstar like Hrithik and Salman.
