Actor Varun Dhawan will be replacing Salman Khan in the sequel to the 1997 comedy classic ‘Judwaa’. The film will release exactly two decades after Salman’s much-loved double role in the David Dhawan directed film.
There are reports that the second film in the ‘Judwaa’ series will be made on a big budget. It will also have plenty of action sequences along with rib-tickling comedy.
The rest of star cast is yet to be announced. The first film featured Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, both romancing Salman.
With films like Andaz Apna Apna, Judwaa and Biwi No 1, Salman was hugely popular for his comedy films back in the 90s. His comic timing was unique, which was one of the reasons why he featured in so many David Dhawan films – including one of his biggest films in the 2000s, Partner.
With David’s son Varun now making a mark in the industry and signing a film like ‘Judwaa 2’, comparisons with Salman will be inevitable. More so because, Varun is one of the few rising stars, who has slowly but steadily established a fanbase both at single-screens and multiplexes.

In order to make savings they will have no makeup dept so they needed an actor who was pure ugly n no surprises for guessing who they approached…oh wait Anurag confirms that they themselves were approached by Boney Kapoor who felt his useless son was Perfect for this role…! Great choice indeed

Varun was good in dilwale but main term hero was the worst David dhawan film, completely filled with adult humour that was not even funny….
His chashme baddoor was a very awesome comedy and starred unknown stars…David direction was very good and he extracted brilliant performances from them…some of those scenes are legendary. …
But David is only human, so many of his current movies gave bad scripts like main tera hero, rascals, etc….

Why Bhai fans are burning. They knows judwa 2 will be bigger hit than judwa which was below of srk koyla in terms of opening, total gross, footfall. Salman stardom in 90 (till 99) was similar to emraan hashimi of today whose murder2, raz3 get declared blockbuster on 50-60 cr collection Judwa was Salmans first solo hit after 1991 baghi. Whatever other movies he did was in second fiddle. He didn’t carry any movie on his sholder whether it is sajan, sanam bewafa, Karan Arjun, HAHK, aaa, khamoshi, Jeet etc and whatever he carried it turned Into desastrous veergati, love etc. again he has to share credit for judwa with team of DD, karishma and kadar khan shakti.
