Ungli First Day Collections

UngliDharma Productions’ Ungli started on a weak note on Friday, collecting Rs 3.6 crore at the domestic box office. Like ‘Happy Ending’ last week and Emraan Hashmi’s last release ‘Raja Natwarlal’, Ungli too has proved to be a non-starter, giving the film little or no chance of recovering over the weekend.

The word-of-mouth is good, but with such low opening numbers, it needs to grow by around 50-60% on each of the remaining two days this weekend to have any chance of being a decent grosser.

Ungli was average at single-screens and poor at multiplex. At smaller towns, it was competing against Zid, while at metros Hollywood films like Mockingjay and Penguins of Madagascar provided stiff competition.

Overall, the opening of Ungli is slightly better than Dharma’s November 2013 release Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. The film has picked up today at multiplexes, which is a good sign.

Update: Rs 3.6 crore is the official figure of Ungli.

  • @element u foolish looser,nw u r calling ungli a non emmy film despite of emmy hogging all d limelight in the ungli promotions and him clearly having a joint lead role wid randeep.and if ungli isnt an emmy film thebn tdp, ouatim r also not emmy films

  • Just Watched Ungli!!!
It’s a decent film,Emraan Hashmi has an extended cameo kind of role but he is good in his part..Randeep hooda is good too.
1st half is a bit sluggish, second half is fast paced.
    Overall,a good one time watch..
    3 stars from.

Multiplex audience are liking it but its length is too short, single screen audience may not like it.

  • @arjun kapur
zid has recorded nill collections in big cities. It is complete washout.
    Producers r giving fake figures!

  • Before ungli u were shouting that kangana, randeep will overshadow emraan even if they have small role.
Now after release, u r howling that emmi taking all limelight. Infact emraan was ill n he was not going to promote ungli due to mini role, but due to insistence of dharma ceo apporva mehta n rensil , he promoted a bit!
U will remain a howling dog, blabering wolf n a chameleon in ur whole life. U r just adi-manav.lol.

  • It is all kismet. 2 years ago emraan hashmi is going to be in big league. He got huge mass following, so Dharma, Utv and balaji offered him their films, even emraan is talking with yash raj for a action comedy. But those success up into emraan’s head and he started to experiment with shanghai, ghanchakkar and ek tha dayan and his downfall started. In Bollywood Box office is the real king, nothing else mattar.

  • @element… I have nothing against eemran but hey calm down a little… Take a survey with all d fans here and ask again WHO DELIVERED AN EPICAL MASTERPIECE IN OUTIM? WHO WAS PRAISED FOR D MOVIE?? OBVIOUSLY SULTAN MIRZA!!! no even thinking twice!!! @arjun kapoor was right there!… No doubt Eemran did justice to d role! Its not an easy TASK giving loads of confidence on screen with a master class actor as Ajay!! What’s there to admit he was d 2nd lead?? After all no director will give EEMRAN a LEAD ROLE when u have an AKKI SALMAN HRITK AJAY SRK AAMIR…no dude!
About AJAY died in d movie? Srk died in khnh with saif being alive? Ajay died in company? Srk in Daar Salman in tere naam/kyon ki… We can go on and on…. But all their roles were remembered!
Agree wit wit ur 2nd point! Yes dirty picture! Eemran and Nasser were d lead actors…..and also Emmi did justice to that role.
I personally wish him d best in his next ventures and still believe he is a very talented actor…. I still take him ahead of Imraan for now…but if he doesn’t bounce back and imraan delivers a single hit yeah for sure his position will b toppled

  • And yeah… Ajay/Eemran combination on d screen was by far more classier appreciated and intense than its sequel star casts by miles! Imraan failed there too
I also agree with @arjun kapoor… I think its time u guys should include abhishek bachan (especially him)… Henceforth! Bowl bachan dhoom3 hny were all commercial success and come on even though not d lead actor in his 3 100crores movies…his role was much more stronger than d so called Katrina! Sonakshi! Asin! Whose names are mentioned in d coveted 100crores movies! Agreed they were d lead roles in female categories but come on Abishek gave out his ALL/ENERGY in those movies!
