Salman Khan’s Tubelight has recorded the highest first weekend collections of 2017, which it has managed to achieve inspite of the film taking a significantly below-par opening compared to other Salman Khan movies in recent times.
The collections are at around the same level as Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees which released on fewer screens and also faced competition from Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil in the same weekend.
Tubelight has also managed to find a spot in the Top 15 Highest first weekend collections of all time. It takes the 14th spot. The collections of Tubelight pale in comparison to other big openers like Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The collections of the dubbed Hindi version of ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is the highest first weekend collections of all time.

If Tubelight fails to cross 150, distributors will lose money. At least Srk was man enough to refund Dilwale distributors…let us see if the so called good hearted Salman does that..I doubt
Will this be a bigger flop than Jai Ho ? Only time will tell but I think it is much bigger flop than Jai Ho..Jai Ho was released on Republic day this is an Eid release…if this gets released on Republic day collections will be close to 80-85 crores max
Just saw the collection on monday despite EID holiday in all over india the collection is 18-19 cr called megastar my foot
where are all salamn fans right now they are talking about 300 cr 400 cr now 150 cr like a mountian for him now . he is nothing without EID every one kows thta but this time even EID can’t help him out . this movie is sill can make good if there is some acting , but bhai or acting never happen
One more thing Tubelight sold on very high prize it need atlist 250 cr to be called a hit . anything below then 150 cr should call a digaster

Tubelight the least commercial film collected better than out and out commercial like Dilwale, Raees. Tubelight is less commercial than even Fan.
