Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year has recorded the 4th highest first week collections of all time behind Dhoom 3, Krrish 3 and Kick. The Farah Khan film is ahead of other major grossers like Chennai Express, Ek Tha Tiger, Bang Bang, Bodyguard and Dabangg 2.
Happy New Year takes the second spot in the highest first week collections for films released in 2014, about Rs 7 crore behind Kick.

@indicine i still remember way back in 2007 you’re site was just a beginner and articles were flooded with grammar mistakes,fact mistakes and for sure the tapori visitors who used to make my experience worser with their explicit language.but now you have changed completely.you,re review criteria like positives and negatives give clear cut picture of movie.you always give update about our stars by your awesome fequently refreshing photo gallery.i clearly remember @indicine you posting reviews about kannada films and i am sure you have something related with karnataka.you include mangalore a small city whose film buisness is also small but you add it along with major circuits.whatever your site has changed.you have daily vistors like nipun,babaji,ajey,arjun.ofcourse they fight over many issues but 100 times better than their ancestors who used bark 100%bullshit and nothing else.i think you are just behind bollywood hungama and ahead of koimoi,bollywood life e.t.c but browsing experience is same as that of 8 years before.same orange+light brown background,important things in bold letters and best thing @indicine always shares it’s technical trouble with users whether users understand or not.so i wish you a rocking future .and this wish is from a die hard fan who is following your website for 8 years,i took aleap of 4years for personal reason but now i am back and i want to spend time again with @indicine.

@Goutham, Indicine was launched by two friends, and one of them (no longer a part of our team) was a girl from Bangalore. She used to write articles on Kannada movies. But she quit less than 3 months after the launch. Since then we cover Bollywood. We have changed the design thrice, this is version 3 which was launched in 2010. (Pics of Version 1 and Version 2 attached below)
The comments section has changed a lot. Back in 2008, it was open and we had a lot of knowledgeable readers. There was no moderation back then. With the internet boom in India, a lot more people started visiting our site. Soon the comments section became messy with plenty of abusive comments, because of which we decided to approve every single comment manually which is very time-consuming (we have 2 people who spend 4-5 hours a day just approving comments). We cant hire more people because someone new might delete a comment from ‘Bulli’ or not understand a comment from one of our uniquely different readers!
Currently we have a team of around 12 people, who work Monday – Friday. Weekends only two people manage the entire website. Big releases like HNY that arrive during Diwali is hectic, no holiday, no fun, just box office numbers. But we love it and we hope all of you like our coverage too. Thank you.
Version 1 was a pink design. Simple and easy to browse.
Version 2 dark design. Again simple, lot of people loved this design. We might change the design, but there are plenty of technical challenges to move to a better design. Lets see :)
