Director David Dhawan and producer Sohail Khan of ‘Partner’ have decided to continue the journey of Guru and Chela further. Partner saw an excellent opening and with this success, the director is working on its sequel titled ‘Tom and Jerry’ which is said to be inspired from the very popular Tom and Jerry series.
David earlier had said “You cannot rule out the possibility of PARTNER 2. It all depends on how PARTNER fares. If PARTNER works, PARTNER 2 will be on the cards next.?
“The title is just decided and I m still working on the script. It’s true that i have seen the Tom and Jerry series but the cartoon charaters are not the exact inspiration of the film.” shares Dhawan when asked about the sequel. The film is expected to hit the floors later this year.
Partner, the stylish and carzy entertainer of Dhawan was inspired by director Andy Tennant Hollywood hit ?Hitch? (Will Smith, Eva Mendes, Kevin James and Amber Valletta). The film hit the screens on 20thJuly, 2007.
Grapevine says that its decided that David will make a film every year featuring his trump card actor Govinda and rocking Salman Khan.
Will every year be a narration of someone else story with a bollywood twist or will the director be working on any new script? Only time can say.
