The second biggest market for Indian movies is the United States of America and ‘The Lunchbox’ has emerged as a huge winner in the country. ‘The Lunchbox’ has collected $3.08 Million in 10 weeks since its release.
The film has managed to beat hugely successful films like Agneepath ($1.98 million), Ghajini ($2.43 million), Jai Ho ($1.26 million), Talaash ($2.87 million), Ra One ($2.51 million), Barfi ($2.8 million) and many more.
It could also go on to beat the lifetime business of films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Written and directed by Ritesh Batra, the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film was a surprise hit in India too.
Below is a list of a few films in recent times that have managed to collect more than $3.5 million in the US, where Dhoom 3 ($8.1 million) and 3 Idiots ($6.5 million) are the highest grossers of all time.

Someone have a nack of bringing up ANNUAL HIT of the past 6 years against SRK….…..coming to the 6 years interval point its not only about giving highest grosser but trying something new…..SRK tried something new with RA.1 and guess what inspite of many negative reviews and aspects and points it earned a HIT status and inspiered K3…..If CE would have happened earlier when MASALA genere was at its full pace then 3 IDIOTS would have been history years ago and it would be the ANNUAL HIT….Even in 2013 CE would have got more free run then IT WOULD HAVE CREATED MORE THAN HISTORY.

Giving only ANNUAL HITS dosen’t matter……SRK ruled for 20 years means SRK is the most consistent actor ib this industry……Haters tends to take it to the annual hit status as they think its the only way to prove SRK down and out…..they forget to mention that in this period of 6 years SRK has given BOLLYWOOD the first romantic film to cross 100 crs despite clash….first high tech VFX used in an INDIAN film which also worked in K 3….His dream project earned 100 crs + while that of SALMAN and AAMIRS failed…..He has given Bollywood s only highest grosser which got only 6 days of free run. …even his most ccriticised film RA.1 earned 100 crs…..that proves his stardom. …giving annual hits with festive season release and high free run dosen’t prove your supremacy….There is much more than that…..Eg — D3 with 21 days free run 275 crs while CE is 208 crs with just 6 days free run….The 2nd week onwards trend has been much better for CE….Even in long run with 15 days more free run collection is just 67 crs higher…….SRKs case has just been like TAALSH and JAI HO….The difference is he made those kind of films mostly in this span.

@False fan Stop being an idiot, there was a time in bollywood, where the box office was going through a dry spell(2000-2005) and everyone used to say that only sex and SRK sell at box office, SRK may not have always ruled and always gave highest grosser but he was always consistent in giving successful movies (HITS and above) and making producers profits and was always popular with the fans and always a big box office draw: Tingu took 20 years to do this: Only in 2008 he relly became a box office draw, and lallu gave producers many losses from 2000-2010 with many flops and disasters and was even out of top 10 at times in this period, whereas SRK hardly went for a long time without successful movies (i.e. Hit and above)…………………………so what tingu and lallu has achieved in last few years is making up for their gross underperformance in the said periods mentioned above, whereas SRK always did well………………………………a movie is considered a success by majority of public if it is a HIT and above and SRK always gave this, futhermore MOST of his movies gave at least good opening or above indicating that he was always popular with fans in 20 years…………………..

Jodha-akbar is the best historical movie I have ever seen… Hrithik did a great job throughout the movie.
hahha 2013-SRK … srk’s Chennai Express collected 230 cr with just 6 days free run, less ticket price then dhoom 3, no imax release, 1000 less screens. while dhoom 3 collected just 40 cr more then Chennai Express with so many advantages that clearly means SRK ruled 2013 and in 2012 SRK had a clash . een with a clash SRK’s JTHJ collected 125 cr, without clash it would have easliy collected 180 cr ( equal or more than ett) that means 2012 also belonged to SRK, 2011 was SRK year Ra.one’s collection was 240 cr while BG collected 230 cr ww … so the biggest hit of 2011 was of SRK . in 2010 SRK’s MNIK broke all records overseas could have collected close 110 cr domestically have it had a clean maharastra release so SRK has always been bigger then aamir n salman

Aamir and Salman are always ready to clash but everyone is scared to do.
Thats why Ajay clashed with Srk and almost beat him.
Ranbir’s BV was releasing on Christmas but when PK was announced on same date, BV producers ran away in fear of clashing with the Perfectionist.
Even SRK had planned a release this 2015 Eid but when Salman announced his Eid release, Srk ran away in fear of Sallu.
