The Jungle Book has dominated the box office in its second week in India. The film is on course to become the highest grosser of 2016 this weekend.
The second weekend business was affected by the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN, but the Hollywood film took over Monday onwards and became the first choice for moviegoers during the weekdays.
It’s easily the best word-of-mouth film of the year, as The Jungle Book has shown outstanding trends both in its first week and second.
The combined show-count of the Hindi and English version of ‘The Jungle Book’ will be more than last week’s release FAN. At PVR Juhu in Mumbai, FAN has been allotted 5 shows, while The Jungle Book has 9 shows (5 English, 4 Hindi). That seems to be the case pretty much all over, across all the major multiplex chains.
The third weekend business of The Jungle Book will decide if the film can go on to cross the 150 crore mark.

This is the biggest manipulation ever, even surpassed Krrish 3. No one will believe that a child’s film is dominating a superstar’s film. Actual lifetime collection must be 80 cr max, nothing more than that.

SRK was defeated by Ranvir last year…now the kid mowgli also defeated the self proclaimed king Sherkhan(SRK) that is also in the second week of the run. Super super….

@king khan…i have watched jungle book movie twice..when i went2 multiplex all family audience were opting jungle book not ur bakwass fan…and jungle book is going housefull than fan. plus point for jungle book is Family audience…bakwass fan is watched by only srk fans where as jungle book is watched by whole family

And ice on the cake, mogali in this movie is so adorable that all sections , specially women, like him
