Super Nani opened to empty houses on its first day at the domestic box office. The film, which was promoted fairly well across television channels and social media, has collected less than 50 lakhs on its opening day.
At multiplexes Super Nani was a wash-out with reports of a few shows cancelled as not a single ticket was sold. At single-screens the other release this weekend, Roar, did pretty well. In fact, the first day business of Roar was nearly 3 times higher than Super Nani.
The reports for both films are poor. Super Nani might show some growth in business as multiplex business tends to grow on Saturday, but it has to pick up by 200-300% for it to have any chance of recording a decent first weekend.
