Sultan Lifetime Collection Prediction

Sultan has been outstanding so far, exceeding or matching trade expectations on each of its 3 days at the box office. But the big test for the film will come on Monday. If it sustains well during the weekdays and shows growth in its 2nd weekend, it could give the industry its 3rd 300 crore grosser – after PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman would also become the first actor to deliver two 300 crore grossers.

But for that to happen , the film has to show a better trend than Dhoom 3 and closely perform at Bajrangi Bhaijaan level. Since we think the word-of-mouth is somewhere between the two films (Dhoom 3 was mixed, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was extraordinary), we expect Sultan to finish with lifetime collections of ? 305 crore.

We expect the film to collect ? 170 crore by the end of its extended 5-day weekend and add around ? 50 crore between Monday – Thursday to take its 9-day extended first week total to ? 220 crore. After that it should manage to add around ? 70 – 90 crore after the release of Great Grand Masti (15 July) and before Dishoom (29 July).

Our final IndicineLBO prediction for Sultan is ? 305 crore. Some of our most accurate predictions have been Dilwale (prediction 145 cr, final total 148 cr), Bajirao Mastani (168 cr – 188 cr), Housefull 3 (105 cr - 109 cr), Ki and Ka (54 cr - 53 cr) just to name a few. Even though box office is extremely unpredictable, we hope to get this one right too.
