It’s been 11 months since his last release and 40 months since his last box office success, but inspite of all his recent failures, the biggest directors in the industry are queueing up to sign Ranbir Kapoor for their films. There can only be two reasons, his acting talent and the love that he gets from his fans.
Not too long ago, Ranbir was one of the most promising actors in the industry and the closest that any young star had got to attaining ‘superstar’ status.
He was one of those few actors who could pull a film to the 20 crore mark – a opening day figure that separates the elite superstars from the rest.
Unfortunately, the graph of Ranbir’s career has taken a downward turn as Besharam, Roy, Bombay Velvet and Tamasha have all failed. His poor run has also affected the eagerness of the audience to watch his films on the first day and this shows in the box office opening of his films.

Like most stars who are going through a lean phase, Ranbir too needs that ’one big film’ to get his career back on track. And who better than Karan Johar to helm his all-important film?
Karan has a terrific track record as director. While none of his films have failed at the box office, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be an important film for the ‘My Name Is Khan’ director too, as he returns with his 6th directorial.

The stats make it obvious that after ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghan’, Karan Johar films haven’t really performed upto expectations at the domestic box office. ‘Student Of The Year’ surprised, but a big hit in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ will help reaffirm Karan’s status as one of the top directors in the industry.

I’m waiting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I feel it’ll be an entertaining movie with good content. Don’t care about box office collections. I expect it to be a memorable film like K2H2, K3G which can be enjoyed even after 15 years of its release.

In a big clash, the better film has the advantage. If Adhm is received better than Shivay, it may even reach 180 cr. In case Shivay is a better film, it could go well over 200 cr.
My money is on Adhm. Going tomorrow to watch adhm. Don’t think Shivay would be outstanding.

I think it will put both of them back on track. Last time, Ranbir wasted the fame from YJHD on Besharam, if that movie was good, it could have been humungous. This time, he’ll cash in on the ADHM fame with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dutt. 2 big hits coming back to back.

ADHM is a really important film for Ranbir . Ranbir has not achieved success since the last 41 months and if ADHM fails he will face tough time in 2017 . If ADHM emerges as a box office success it can be a turning point in his career . As far as the trailer is concerned it is not looking impressive but i think I will watch the film because our entire family watch movies on Diwali . I am planning to watch ADHM tomorrow and Shivaay on Sunday . The songs of ADHM are really good . Karan Johar has 100 % success ratio and whether ADHM will continue this streak or not we will get to know in the next week . First 3 days for both the movies will be really tough because of the pre Diwali period . Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two biggies, Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkilare all set to hit the theaters tomorrow and the advance bookings have already begun in full swing. According to early trends, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is showing a better booking for morning shows at the multiplexes and in big cities.
Shivaay on the other hand has started off a little slower than ADHM. The film has managed to show better bookings in smaller cities.

@PATHAN : Why are you behaving like a Pheku ? There is nothing called craze or mad but they are surprised to see him in movie. If any big superstar would have been there the reaction would have been same. Stop hyping a guest appearance, SRK in dual role could not pull much audience and you are cooking up stories about his special appearance role.
It may do well due to Diwali but it wont be as same as YJHD or Barfi for Ranbir. Maximum it will be a Hit.
