The winners of Stardust Awards 2013 has been announced. The awards ceremony is known for encouraging young talent in the industry. The superstar of tomorrow (male) award went to Arjun Kapoor for Ishaqzaade, while Parineeti Chopra walked away with the Superstar of tomorrow (female).
Shahrukh Khan won two awards – Editor’s choice Best Actor and Star Of The Year. Amitabh Bachchan received the ‘Star Of The Century’ award.

I quite agree for the nominations of Stardust awards.. better than the nomination of Big star awards, Colors screen awards and filmfare awards.

@Nihal.No.If you are talking about 2012, then he doesn’t deserve STAR OF THE YEAR award.
But i don’t know, based on which criteria, these awards are determined.It may be possible, that they thought about most appreciated actor of 2012(globally) and in this perspective, SRK truely deserves it.
As he already got the award of global superstar in G-Cine.
But if this award was given only for B.O. collections and fame in India, then i think salman was truely deserving.
Although, i am a diehard fan of SRK, but i have no any hesitation while accepting the truth.
Lol, just looking at the so many categories, this has to be the worst among all the “award” ceremonies.
@xzone congrats dear finally srk got award this year, as stardust came to know by forbes list that still srk has money to pay them for awards thats y they given two award, and stardust also know coz salman not given money to them, and even they give salman than he not come to stage to recieve that as he did zee and screen awards that he not recd them so stardust took a intelligent move to give srk two award by getting money frm him hahahaha happy xzone, now plz not jump like a kid.

They must have observed all other achievements of that star in that particular year and in this way, SRK was more appropriate choice as his team won IPL.Forbes has announced him as top indian star.At the same time, he also honored by other nations.
So, on the basis of these things, i guess, they honored SRK.
But dude, neither i nor you know, what are the requirements to have this award.
So, saying anything wrong about these awards is not fair as of now.

@nihal…acceptance doesn’t mean everything.acceptance never means that a star deserves an award.sallu’s moies are earning well but to get awarded, he has to do some serious work.otherwise, if he continued to do these craps(targetted towards the masses), he couldn’t get the appreciation of classes and critics and mind it, critics appreciation is must to get an award.
Stardust and filmfare awards are also a big joke…. Its a very unfair process….give the awards to the deserving actors and not the ones that pays for it…. I’m a big salman fan and it’s sad to see the award that should have gone to salman they give it to srk… Yes star of the year is salman not srk… With his cheesy jthj…. I hate all and I stress hate all Bollywood award shows…

Its nice that you are using this logic to justify SRK getting an award well 2 awards but can the same logic be applied to say Farah Khan winning the Best Actress Award? SFKTNP was both a commercial disaster and critical failure xzone. I think everyone knows why SRK won (sorry bought) 2 awards and it has nothing to do with Critics appreciation unless you meant that appreciation comes in the form of an envelope filled of $$$$$$!!!!

Why do so many people watch his movies? in a country like India dont you think the public/audience recognition is more important than some magazine sponsored awards? So he will change it only when he wants n if God forbids even if he fails he will take the responsibility of it.. FYI these movies are made by Madhur Bhandarkar who is known for bringing truth/reality in his movies.. Salman’s biggest award his fans’ love which is much more n better than someone’s 200 awards.. He will churn out hit after hit. As his supporters are viewers, who don’t care what any tom, d!ck and harry critic has to say. They just go for entertainment.
Sallu’s strength is entertainment, and he should keep doing it, because at the end of the day if you movies doesn’t do business, you will be out of business quickly, and critics won’t be there to support you.
I am seeing the winner lists from last two year, which actors/ actress doesn’t deserve and get any award in all the awards functions of the year, will get the here at Stardust….This is the funniest award function…so many best actors and best actress’ awards and star of the year, star of the century and two winners in so many categories…basically just make everyone happy! new filmmaker and debut filmmaker/director …what is the difference…best actor thriller, drama , comedy- romance…lol its a joke.

I am glad SRK won 2 awards – but why does it seem like the award shows so far have not recognized Director Yash Chopra in his final masterpiece? For an 80 something year old director he did a superb job with JTHJ – deserves so much more recognition for this movie.
