  • @Aki. go nd check…the same “arshad warsi” also visited the “annual ghanta awards”..he was one of the celebrities who visited.. and salman was “honored” by ghanta awards in his presence…

  • @xzone : so what if Arshad had gone to Ghanta awards?? Does it mean he is against salman? U r seriously born to hate salman. I believe u have nothing to do in ur boring n retarded life hence u target a megastar n feel proud abusing him.

  • @hritik…now i got it…so u r aki…who is using this id “hritik”…i was so confused that from where this id “hritik” is emerged suddenly and now it is clear that u r nothing else, but aki…so my frnd aki aka hritik…enjoy ur ghanta awards with ur hganta bhai salman…and plz don’t insult the word “megastar” by using it infront of salman..:P

  • Foka awards!!!! Why no award for Sridevi or English Vinglish??!!! Such a brilliant and nuanced film but ignored. And where is Paan Singh Tomar? Vicky Donor didn’t deserve so many awards. It deserved only the one for Annu Kapoor’s class act.

  • In terms of credibility, fairness, worthiness my rankings of the Bollywood Awards are –

    1. Screen Awards.
Despite the fact that they have hundreds of categories, thus ensuring a star to receive an award in at least one of them, they have been the closest to India’s “Oscars”. They have an executive branch similar in model to the Academy that hosts the Oscars, and also the voters/jury are chosen from within the industry. So in a way, all the people who vote for these are producers, actors, directors, cinematographers, etc. who know their craft. Which is why, Screen Awards has not always gone with the sway of popularity (unlike Filmfare), and has chosen off-beat, but equally if not more deserving winners. Their Best Film winners have been Chak De, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Udaan, Dirty Picture, Paan Singh Tomar, among others. All these mentioned films did not win Filmfare’s Best Film where more “popular” films were awarded.

    2. Filmfare Awards
No matter what you say, IMO they are considerably better than MOST of these new awards show. They thankfully mend their ways of being star-whores by cutting out many categories like Best Villain, Comedian, Jodi, and all that crap. The only thing bad about Filmfare Awards is that they let the people decide 50% of the votes in their top categories, which results in not-so-fair awards most of the times. Not saying it’s a bad decision, but letting people decide the winners is automatically an unfair advantage to bigger movies and bigger stars. There are hundreds of smaller movies and performances that are far better than some of the things out there in our media all the time, but they do not get publicized at all, which means people don’t watch them. Just and example, we all can agree that Paan Singh Tomar is a better film than RaOne, but because of this system, Paan Singh gets 2 mere nominations, while RaOne gets 7 nominations.

So if you look beyond that glaring negative aspect of Filmfare, imo, they try to balance it out as much as possible. No matter what you say, the nominees and winners are perfect for ALL the technical categories, it’s just the popular categories which are cringeworthy sometimes, but mostly decent winners.

    3. IIFA. Mostly copycats..

-All the rest are craps (Zee Cine, Stardust etc.)
