SRK’s 2 States Postponed

Just the other day we reported that Asin had been signed on to play the leading lady’s role in Shahrukh Khan’s 2 States. But unfortunately, the news coming in isn’t too great.

The movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States was jinxed from Day 1, after Sajid Nadiadwala acquired the rights of the popular book. First it was director Siddarth Anand who walked out, later when Vishal Bharadwaj was convinced to direct the film, the makers had trouble finding a leading lady.

Now, news is that, Vishal Bharadwaj is unlikely to take up the film unless he is completely convinced with the screenplay, which isn’t complete yet!

Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the same “At the moment the 2 States project stands exactly where it was some months ago. The sceenplay is yet to be completed . The casting has not gone beyond Shah Rukh Khan. Right now, I am too much into the pre-production of Housefull 2 to give my time to anything else.”

That’s that for now. 2 States is unlikely to happen anytime in the near future.
