After successfully playing the character of ‘Don’ in Farhan Akhtar’s last two directorial ventures, Shahrukh Khan will be seen playing a gangster in Rahul Dholkia’s untitled next.
However, Farhan Akhtar, who will be co-producing the film, has denied reports that SRK will play a Gujarati don.
“Don’t call him a Gujarati don! He is not playing any Gujarati don. The film is based in Gujarat and his character is based in Gujarat. He is playing a gangster in the film. The film deals with crime and law” Farhan told IANS here.
The film, directed by Rahul Dholkia, will go on floors next year.

Hahaha now after ce srk fans are talking about 250,300 cr, their so called king wasn’t able to make previous don2 to pass even 110 cr, and now i had seen some previous article srkians taking don3 will collect 300 cr and they are those stupid who saying that don2 is class movie so how can it collect 200 cr but suddenly they are committing 300cr, this is called height of stupidity. Now coming back to his upcoming movie based on gangster, so have to see if these role having shades of darr,baazigar kinda role in which he was a villain who was cunning he not come clearly as a typical villain we have in front of lead protagonist or like don,don2 in which he is straight villain and if belong to cunning kind than have chance to be good movie but if like duplicate,anjaam or don kind than will not be huge, because he never suit for typical bollywood villain role and great example is both don&don2 underperformance as only srk fans like his role but not others and they are big in nos.

SRK’s Don series was just okay. Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt are better in gangster roles. In 2008, Aamir proved he is the Ace Khan of Bollywood when GHAJNI Crossed RBDJ collection in just 2 weeks. Again after 5 years, Dhoom 3 is going to cross Chennai Express record. Ace khan is bigger than the small king.

@sameer, yaa i m srk hater and i don’t like both don because both srk and movie content is not strong enough to pull the audience to say wow, and not only srk haters but i know people who are neutral as well as some srk fans around me who don’t liked too. And if everybody other than srk haters liked the movie than both don&d2 not been declared just a hit which is the least expectation a movie have when 1. It has a holiday release or containing holiday period 2.a bollywood cult classic DON remake and other is a sequal of a movie 3. Having A list actor srk, popular heroine priyanka and one of the finest filmmaker Farhan but still having collection of d1 is similar to kank which is rejected by Indians and don2 collection less than ra1 which is also not liked by most of people worldwide but still having better collection than don franchise so first look at the facts and figures than comments and for your kind info i liked srk in darr,baazigar and anjaam but not in duplicate and don franchise.
@Aks DON 1 & 2 was just inspired from the old 1……it was a completly different story…..what’s your take on ready,bodygaurd,wanted etc then???……it was scene to scene copy paste with same dialogues also…….you don’t like duplicates right??…lol….what about remake and duplicate salman khan?/…his upcoming 3 movies are south copy paste…..
@sakhi hahaha i think you misunderstood my comments i spoke about srk starrer movie Duplicate in which he had double role one is hero and other is villain, i was not calling don&don2 duplicate. And i am not against remake if its a good movie, i liked wanted, singham,bhoolbhulaiya,ghajini,rowdy rathore and agnipath too. Because i liked them irrespective of lead actors of these movies. And for Ready, bodyguard i found both as average movies and only salman has a saving grace in those movies. And if i say ready,bodyguard or any other blockbuster movies craps than only i making myself fool because majority liked those movie that’s y they became blockbuster similarly if a say ce was a crap than who cares as right now it is highest grosser movie of all time so my opinion doesn’t matter for those but if i give a genuine opinion about don franchise than its worth because at boxoffice they not did anything great, i have guts to say that dabangg2 underperformed slightly but have you to say about don, bitter truth.
@aks, you look at the facts.. I have my facts clear. Don was only hit due to its high budget otherwise it would have been super hit like fanaa which also collected same as don. Secondly If don was not liked by the public then it would have been a sure shot flop because audience had choice with janeman. But the case was your bhai jaan’s janeman was rejected by the public and they went for don. Agreed it was only hit with an a list actor and heroine but at the samd time janeman had two a list stars with the best heroine of that time, why that movie flopped? Yeah don was a remake of a cult classic, so was ram gopal verma’s aag. Why didn’t that movie became hit? Being a remake of cult classic do not gaurantee a success. Now coming to raone. Yeah it was rejected worldwide and personally i was also disappointed with the movie but at the same time worldwide it collected more than a blockbuster movie of that year ready. And coming to don2, then it is the most stylish movie with some real action. And it was not a holiday release bcoz 25 december and the new year both fall on sunday, so no holiday advantage and also it had no mass apeal but stil crossed 100 crs with ease. And for your kind information it colkected more than raone worlwide and was the second biggest grosser of the year. So get your facts right.

DON went on to become superhit and Jaan-e-man became a disaster (that too with Salman & Akshay in it)…….so what about that……..
and about DON-2 ,it consists of international real actions unlike the classless,brainless movies of salman and akshay….ek aadmi ko maaro ,100 metre door jaake gire…lol
and DON-2 made with a budget of 75cr that’s why it’s superhit…..whereas lallu bhai’s all most of the south masala crap had budgets around 40cr……..
