SRK in Ramana remake: A R Murugadoss to direct?

Last week there were rumours that SRK is set to appear in a remake, but now it’s more or less confirmed. The Tamil film ‘Ramana’ joins the long list of remakes in Bollywood and King Khan is supposedly playing the lead in it.

Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has acquired the rights of Ramana which was directed by A.R Murugadoss. Buzz is that Bhansali, who will only be producing the film and not directing it, has approached SRK.

Ramana starring Vijaykanth and Simran, released in 2002 and went on to be a box-office blockbuster. The film ran in theaters for more than 20 weeks. It was later remade in Telugu titled as ‘Tagore’ where Chiranjeevi played the lead. It was also remade in Kannada and titled ’Vishnu Sena’ starring the legendary Vishnuvardhan.

For A R Murugados, who has always wished to work with SRK, it will be a dream come true. The movie is about a professor who builds a strong student chain of network to fight corruption. In the process he kills bribe takers and brings welfare to the common man.

The story is very relevant in today’s scenario.

  • No matter , its a movie based on ANTI CORRUPTION. Not like other masala panchat remakes like bg, ready and wanted and so on

  • Its a good movie. Vijaykanth sir was brilliant in it. Such movies are relevant for any time. I wish SRK should do it. It will be an interesting role for him. Fighting against corruption like Anna.

  • SRK only do films for people(sanjay bansali) and dont do for story and salman who only do hit films not award films opposite ashuthosh.

  • Billu was Above Avg..its a perspective flop…It was on 24cr budget and crossed 28Cr.

also..this movie doesnt seem like masala… should be ON !!…
    the plot seems..very interesting…

SRK might redefine himself..with his social in CDI

  • at least this remake has a moral lesson not like candyfloss bodyguard dabang ready wanted etc which are all moss

  • srk is the original king of remakes.darr,baazigar,swades,josh,paheli,mnik,ra1,billu,don,devdas etc.shame on srk.who makes unofficial remakes & tell people that its his own.wanted & ready were great as ghajini.coz they were wonderful movies.but srk with bad looks & bad attitude can not look good in any of those roles.well hope 4 the best.
