Shahrukh Khan won three awards at the Zee Cine Awards 2014, held in Mumbai on February 8th. The superstar won ‘Best Actor Popular’ for his performance in Chennai Express. He also won awards for ‘Most Influential Bollywood Personality on Social Media’ (Twitter, Facebook, Google+) and an award on behalf of his company Red Chillies VFX who were behind the world-class visual effects in Krrish 3.

SRK’s co-star in Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone, won the ‘Best Actress Popular’ choice award for her act as Meenamma in the Rohit Shetty entertainer. She lost out in the ‘Jury / Critics’ category to Sonakshi Sinha.

Lootera was much more critically acclaimed than ramleela.ramleela isn’t even in top 7-8 in critics rating.while lootera is at 2nd or 3rd. Deepika is justified for getting the popularity award, as the character she did became too popular among the masses.
However, actiing wise she is a big let down, as I saw Ramleela that day.
People were saying Ranvir Singh overacted. But, in fact he was uber cool and carried the character much more easily and strongly.
There is no emotions, no pause, nothing in Deepika’s dialogues and expression. Just a wooden model draped in some brilliant costumes, nothing more, nothing less.
I wished if the role was given to PC, she would have rocked with a stellar performance. The character need to be bubbly, strong and mature as the story progressed, and no one but PC would have done justice to it.

Decided by votings and your logic? My foot!! This best actor should be awarded on the basis of the popularity (in another term, the biggest grossing movie) of the movies itself. It should not be deided by polls. So, the bigger grossers were Dhoom 3 and Krisshh 3. In terms of both popularity and acting perormance, it was BMB.
What did SRK do CE? Shouting for help from Meenamma to save from Thangavalli and some over-the-top crap comedy. Way back in 2010, in Screen Award, Salman won the votings by huge margin, yet SRK won popular award over Salman Khan for Dabangg. Where is the logic here. In 2007, Aksahy gave his award to Aamir as he felt that Aamir’s performace in Ghajini was better than Akki in SIK.
What SRK knows to buy awards whether by money or promosing to endorse the respective award companies. Everybody knows these award prgrams, except for national award, rings hollow. 1Day, he’ll win an award 4 d mos award winnin actor via manipulations.
Had Billu Barbar or Paheli been released in 2013, SRK would have still won Best Actor in Popular Category for the film irrespective to the BO performace of the movie because according to SRK fans, Best Actor in Popular cetgory is decided by Polls or Votings. If that Best Actor is given in term of BO performace of a movie, Aamir or Hrithik should have won. If in terms of acting, then it should be Farhan. SRK acting in CE suxx big time and the movie is not a bigger grosser than Dhoom 3 and Krishh 3 either.
As usual, awards are “purchased” again not “won” by the nominee.

SRK the best actor alive in this planet…………He can act in different role….whereas some actors find it difficult to do that..for example salman does only masala movie..aamir does the movie only if the script is too good(becoz of script he gets highlighted)…akki too far does movies like boss(all south remakes) hrithik does well sometimes……I love when SRK gets awards becoz he deserves …Person who was just a common man where sallu and aamir had some filmi connections when they entered bollywood..lastly haters will hate him.that doesnt matter becoz people love him more in this entire globe..

@sht may be but i think you also not aware among any actor of current generation its srk whose maximum movie released on holiday and if you check his film history almost 12-14 of his films released on Holiday. And these are the periods when other also want to release at same time. But life never lies on assumption. Srk is a wonderful actor but he also benefited with holiday releases throughout his career,unless you know his most ambitious Ra1 could be a flop if got normal holiday.So what is wrong if Aamir, salman or any other actor achieved huge success whether had clash or not.

@SKY — SRKs holiday releases got clash from 6th day whereas AAMIRs and SALMANs enjoyed huge free run…and also they had succesful franchasie or remakes backing them while srk is not.
Also AAMIRs SALMANs got more screen space and higher ticket price than SRKs.
