In a group interview to promote his upcoming film ‘Sultan’, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan spoke about doing a sports based film for the first time in his career. The actor had previously rejected ‘Chak De India’, which Shah Rukh Khan signed.
“It was high time for me to get into sports. This was the first good sports film that came to me, so I did it. Chak De India was offered to me but Shah Rukh Khan also needs to get some good films” Salman said.
“When I was offered Chak De, I was doing Partner and those kinds of films. My image was totally different. It was a serious film and I was doing commercial cinema, which I am still doing. I will never move out of that format but there will be meaningful films like Ready and Dabangg, which actually teach you a lot” Salman said, with his tongue firmly in his cheek.
‘Sultan’ releases in theatres next Wednesday.

@Suraj, Yes, I did like some SRK movie. I don’t know but KHKN & Dil Se are my all time favorites of SRK.
@Drogba, I did watch Veer Zaara. That too on the first day in theatre. A very good movie with soulful and touchy songs. But not in my favorite list.
@Nipun, Yes Ready is meaningful like Bang Bang although the movies belong to different genres. Don’t worry, on any given chance, I am ready to kill you for your irritating reviews.

I don’t know why some people are so harsh towards Ready. Although it had not many things New to offer, it was a very good comedy blended with family values and emotions. That’s why it became a blockbuster.

Are those films running in theatre now so that people will watch those films in theatre now? Still the longest running film DDLJ is by SRK. Most of the films I mentioned did very well in box office with the exception of Swades, Paheli, Dil Se & Fan. Do think people now a days watch Partner instead of Swades and appreciates Partner instead of Swades? Do you think people watch Judwa and Baaghi( I never heard the names of these films, just picked some random films from the 90’s by Lallu) instead of Darr and Baazigar which still in 2016 people rave about? Oh, who am I talking to? The Lallutards understand nothing about classic films. Do you think 10 years after people will watch people will watch Ready or Kick? NO, they will watch Fan . And being a Lallutard you should be ashamed of talking about acting. It’s King Khan’s acting that made those films memorable. He is the King of Acting too. Now get lost.
