Madhavan, who has learnt direction from top-class film-makers like Mani Ratnam and Nishikanth Kamath, to direct a deep love story just like his debut hit by Mani Ratnam- Alai Payuthe. As things didnt work out fine between the southern superstar Madhavan and Pratap Pothen, who was initially signed to direct the film, Maddy takes over the directors chair with this Hindi-Tamil bilingual film.
The script for the film is already completed and the shooting is expected to start in early 2008. Maddy initially wanted Shalini, his Alai Payuthe co-star to play the leading lady. As Shalini has retired from acting after her marriage with tamil superstar Ajith, he is now in search of a serious yet innocent looking actress from bollywood.
