For the first time since he was released on bail, Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj talks about his days at the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai and why he still loves Jiah.
Accused of ‘raping’ and ‘mentally torturing’ his girlfriend Jiah Khan, who committed suicide at her Juhu residence on June 2nd, Sooraj shared a cell with an income tax professional and a builder.
“The police interrogation, jail food, hygiene was a small price to pay as someone’s life had gone. I did not cry in front of my parents, as I knew they would feel bad. I cried when I came back home.”
Talking about Jiah, Sooraj said “I don’t mind if my name is associated with her all my life as my heart is still connected with hers. I still love her. Everything in my house still reminds me of her, I couldn’t really help her, I have always been a calm person, but even the 5% anger that I might have had has gone away.”
