Sonakshi Sinha to romance Akshay Kumar in Namaste England

It’s official. Sonakshi Sinha will be romancing Akshay Kumar in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namaste England, which goes on floors in August this year.

The film is not a sequel to ‘Namastey London’. The story and characters are unrelated to the 2007 film, which featured Katrina Kaif in the lead.

Namastey England will be shot across London and Punjab.

The film goes on floors in August this year and the shoot will be wrapped up in December. It will hit theatres in the first half of 2017.

Vipul Shah has previously directed films like Aankhen, Waqt, London Dreams and Action Replay. All his films, except London Dreams, have featured Akshay Kumar in the lead.

  • sonakshi sinha fees + akki fees + london means high budget. hope it becomes superhit. the fees of kat, even sonakshi sinha has gone high that is why akki is now generally cast opposite new actress. sonakshi sinha, kat is now cast opposite new young heroes.

  • all his films have been brilliant too…This is definitely a director which has some quality…

  • wow thats great akki is back with another classic performance.bt katrina would be more appropreat .it’s been a long time they’ve not worked together .miss u katrina

  • @Ajay rocks – Don’t worry,Arjun youngistaan fan has revealed this “Floppy” secret of yours to me on twitter long time ago. Also I got to know by analyzing your writing style and it’s same like Floppy’s.

  • Sonakshi can’t compete with real actresses lyk kangana, vidya, etc.
Her time is over, she is a history in Bollywood now

  • Why do they call this a sequel ?? I was expecting Akshay-Kat jodi to come back… And Sonakshi is a flop actress.

  • @Yogi Akkiholc. You mean to say only 4/106 movies of 80 cr king was Romantic hit movies? Too small very small very very tiny. Dhadhkan was Suniel Shetty movies beginning to end it was all about an obsessed lover and his transformation. Chal chal

  • Of all those Vipul Shahs movies it is Aankhen I remember enjoying a lot. A very fine thriller with Akshay in top form (as a blind person) , Paresh Rawal was hilarious and Amitabh was awesome as always. Had heard they are making a sequel but without Amitabh and Akshay it looks of no use.

At 2nd number I liked Namastey London which was a nice romantic movie and Akshay was quite good in it as well.

Saw a bit of Action Replay and it looked poor. No idea about London Dreams and Waqt. Apparently looked dull.

Not a fan of Sonakshi (other than her awesome Looteras performance) so her and Akshay coming together in this movie is not something I will be waiting for. Same goes for HF3.

Akshays Robot 2 is the movie which excites me the most.

  • @ Shubham at 9:18 pm : Good that he clarified. Always believed it wasnt his fault and that he wouldnt have liked that act of his bodyguard himself.
