After Emraan Hashmi was replaced with Akshay Kumar to play Dawood in the sequel to the 2010’s super-hit Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Sonakshi Sinha has been signed on to play female lead.
There were several rumors doing the rounds, everyone from Katrina Kaif to Deepika Padukone were said to be starring opposite Akshay, but its Sonakshi who has been finalized to play Dawood’s love interest!
Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 will be directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Balaji (Ekta Kapoor). The movie is expected to release in August 2012.
Dabangg has done wonders to Sonkashi’s career. After the universal success of the film, yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter has signed biggies like Joker (with Akshay), Race 2 and Kick (with Salman).
