Reacting to reports about the barbaric killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, actor Shah Rukh Khan says he feels deeply sad, and India should take a ‘hard’ stand.
“Things like country, politics, sports, war, border should be kept different… (he recalled that his earlier remarks on sports had raised a controversy) In a country so volatile, where the youth demand a hard stand… which is a good thing in a democracy. I don’t want to participate in anything of which we both don’t have knowledge. I think you and I should be looking at methods to end this strife at the border,” the thespian said.
“I have been watching TV, where people are saying “haan sabak sikha denge” (let’s teach them a lesson). That is completely wrong. It is sad, soldiers should not die for unnecessary reasons. We should take a hard stand. We should be very clear and whoever does wrong, should have to account for it and be put to the test. As an Indian, I am deeply saddened,” Khan said.
In a brazen violation of the decade-old ceasefire, Pakistani troops intruded into Jammu and Kashmir and killed two Indian soldiers Tuesday.

@salman you are very naive and beyond help. Many people in India are intellectually smart enough to know how much damage a nuclear bomb can do and god forbid one should land near our homes. Its easy saying lets go to war but you are asking unbeknown to you other peoples sons and daughters to sacrifice their lives for the rage burning inside you against Pakistan. People in cities, towns and villages across both sides of the border may not be upto date with current affairs and most likely it is these innocent people who get bombed and have their lives changed forever. For people like you Salman, going to war is easy when someone else in uniform does it for you but to offer a hand in peace is difficult as you need a clear conscience. May god help us all and lets pray that one day we can have everlasting peace between two neighbouring nations.
