I have noticed one thing though,films of yrf-dharma-utv they look grand whether they shoot it in India or foreign but prabhudeva films have a b-grade kind of look even if he shoots in foreign locations,for ex he shot few sequences of AJ in Austria and now SIB is shot in Romania and South Africa but still they look quite pale.
For ex: Compare the Shaandaar trailer with SIB trailer .

Drishyam hasn’t collected 60crs yet,its opening was same as Bombay velvet opening which was carrying huge negativity while Drishyam was getting positive feedbacks.
His last 2 films have failed to cross 60crs.Only Singham Returns was super hit coz of sequel factor,if Akki comes with Rowdy rathore 2 it will do huge too.
As for Salman and Srk,yes they would have made the film huge but seriously can you imagine Srk or Salman in turban and playing such a mad character??
Hey Indicine. Big fan of your site, but never really posted. I’m from Delhi and I’ve lately realized that Akshay Kumar has lost a whole lot of multiplex audience here, any potential reason for that? By just looking at the trailer response can you please predict SIB’s opening day figures at this moment? In addition, it’d be good if you could maybe answer whether Akshay kumar would be able to pull a big chunk of multiplex audience in SIB like Singh is KINNG did? Thanks.

Trailer is better than my expectation, as I was expected full on crap especially after the first look poster published yesterday, Loved the first half of the trailer, while the later half is preety average. Overall decent trailer.
I hope prabhu wouldn’t put too many idiotic scene of akki for create laughter as it could be over the top.
At Boxoffice there is no expectation from my side.
@babaji stark might referring ajay because of SOS character, where Ajay played Sikh, though movie was preety avg but Ajay was very good in the movie. Regarding dhrishyam yes it opened with 5cr opening, any film of its kind would struggled at bo after hurricane like BB and bahubali, Even AJ had 30cr+ weekend similar to boss,ouatimd etc despite being panned by critic highly.
Ajay devgn in mass film created good hype most of type, and Drishyam was way different. Moreover drishyam despite being poor start isn’t flopped.

I can trust Prabhu Deva when it deals with entertainment.
But biggest point is Amy Jackson….i think she is the hottest girl in bollywood now.
Everything is good & 2nd October release so if all goes well then 100crs+ this time.
Just a request to Akki fans just stay with Akki & his films…dont behave like srk fans…if try to bring down others then you knows what happened with Brothers.

. Why is it that Khan films open so big and the rest of the films so less and are they actually that much bigger stars than the rest as the opening day collections suggest?
Ans. They are bigger than the rest but not as much the collections indicate. That also has a lot to do with better well chosen projects and the best periods of the year for release. The others never get these periods so have to do with the best of what is left. But this won’t change quickly as they have monopoly on those three major release dates of the year so its either someone with the right project challenges them or they make mistakes with their big festive releases which opens it up for others.
