Ever since his debut film ‘Student of the Year’ released in 2012, Sidharth Malhotra’s career graph has always been on the rise. The actor appeared in two successful films last year, one being Hasee Toh Phasee and the other being Ek Villain.

Sidharth has an interesting line-up of upcoming films. Two films have been signed, he is likely to give his nod for

the third film too.

Brothers (Sidharth Malhotra’s Next Film)

• Cast: Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.

Brothers is the official remake of the popular Hollywood movie, Warrior. The rights were purchased by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is a story of two free style wrestlers. The USP of Brothers would be the return of Akshay Kumar as an action hero and it would also be interesting to see the chemistry between the two lead actors Akshay and Sidharth. Warrior was highly appreciated by both critics and audiences alike – will the Bollywood version match the high standards set by the original? If early reports are to be believed, the film has been shaping up very well.

Bhavesh Joshi

• Release Date: Undecided (2016 release likely)
• Cast: Sidharth Malhotra
• Director: Vikramaditya Motwane (director of films like Lootera, Udaan)

Bhavesh Joshi promises to be an interesting film with a strong script. Director Vikramaditya Motwane has said that the film will surprise a lot of people and it also has a superhero angle to it. Not many are aware of this, but Imran Khan was the first choice to play the lead role in ‘Bhavesh Joshi’. But after the failure of ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’, Sidharth Malhotra was signed to play the lead. The film was initially set to go on floors in December last year.

There are also reports that Excel Entertainment is keen on casting Sidharth Malhotra for their ‘Time Machine’ film which was first offered to Hrithik Roshan and then Aamir Khan.
