After the success of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, filmmaker Shashank Khaitan is planing another film with Varun Dhawan. The director himself confirmed the development of his second collaboration with the ‘ABCD 2’ star.
“I am definitely working with Varun in my next film. We have two scripts ready and I am currently developing the screenplay. Varun has liked both but obviously, we will have to choose one. When we do develop the screenplay, we will take a call on which one to go ahead with. Both are in a fun space – comedy dramas but we have a lot of decisions to be taken. Once both are ready, I will also show it to Karan (Johar) and then we should start rolling sometime next year.”
When asked if Alia Bhatt will be paired opposite Varun in the film, he denied it saying the lead actress is yet to be chosen.
“We want to choose actors according to the script. Besides Varun, no one has been finalised as yet.”
Varun is currently busy shooting for his next film ‘Dilwale’ where he shares screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on December 18. He also has ‘Dishoom’ lined up for release next year.

Hope he makes a good movie this time around,Humpty Sharma was just a formulaic romcom which i did’nt like at all.
