A day after his historic innings that kept India’s hopes alive in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli slammed social media trolls for their insensitive comments on Anushka Sharma.
Virat said “Shame on people for trolling Anushka Sharma non-stop. Have some compassion. She has always only given me positivity”
The star cricketer scored a match-winning 82 runs of 51 balls, an innings that decimated Australia and ensured that India entered the World Cup semi final.
After the win, social media was flooded with sarcastic comments over how the Virat-Anushka breakup has helped the cricketer perform better on the big stage.

I don’t know really whether Virat and Anushka are still in a relationship or not but it is good to see Virat defending her . Sometimes people get carried away and write anything in the name of freedom of expression . Last year WC 2015 SF India lost to Australia and Virat scored only 1 Run and people were trolling Anushka that she is a bad luck and because of her India lost the match . What can a person do by just sitting on the stands ? This is the price you have to pay when you become famous . Yesterday Virat played an exceptional knock and I am really happy to see him in such a solid form . But again I would like to say yesterday’s game was a one man show with Dhawan, Rohit and Raina failing badly . Its high time our top order pulls up their socks as we will face WI on Thursday and they are a quality side having a bunch of match winners . Virat Rocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She’s not the only one who’s faced such trolling on social media sites, some people just like to troll anyone whenever they want without thinking about the feelings of that person. It’s good to make people laugh, but make sure it’s not making anyone sad.
Social Media (twitter in particular) is notorious for hate speech. Twitter trolls haven’t spared anybody. Microsoft bot’s recent controversy proves what trolls are capable of doing.
I’m glad that Virat stepped in to defend his ex-girlfriend. That’s a gentleman’s gesture. I just hope that these trolls don’t start attaching Kohli for his gesture.
