Shaitan releases today and the promos have ensured decent curiosity around the film. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, who assisted Mani Ratnam on Guru, Shaitan stars Rajiv Khandelwal, Kalki Koelchin, Nikhil Chinappa, Rajat Kapoor and a few others. The film is produced under Anurag Kashyap’s banner.
Coming to the box office prospects of the low-budget Shaitan, the film is expected to start slow and then grow on word-of-mouth. The initial reactions from those who have watched the film, is positive. Ready should continue its dominance this weekend, but the Salman Khan starrer is unlikely to affect Shaitan, a film that belongs to a totally different genre (thriller).
