Soon after celebrating the historic success of Chennai Express, Shahrukh Khan will begin shooting for his next film ‘Happy New Year’.
The first shooting schedule of the commercial entertainer began today. Director Farah Khan published a picture of the ‘mahurat shot’. (picture below)
Deepika Padukone returns as SRK’s lady love in Happy New Year. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah.
Happy New Year is scheduled to release during the Diwali weekend after Hrithik Roshan’s Shuddhi was postponed to 2015.

I am huge fan of srk but i requst please change the relase date of happy new year, you relase this flim on eid just like chennai express and once rock at the box office and beat the salman’s movie kick at box office and then finally decided in bollywood srk is the king and all of all of bollywood and no any beat the srk
@Parth – Chennai Express also started shooting on 1st Sept last year and released on Eid. SRK did not wait for diwali this time because his friend Hrithik wanted to release Krrish 3. And if Salman clashed with SRK, Salman would be annihilated – in India and certainly in overseas.

oh no….i was so happy for this diwali as we will have our superhero krrish 3 and was equally excited to have shuddhi on next year diwali but as usual mr. srk who loves to take advantage of others, took advantage of hrithik’s surgery and is releasing his crap next diwali. farah khan should only choreograph not direct. but not to worry, akshay will teach him how to make a masala movie like boss,thupakki.

I dont know about telugu kick. But i did see tamil kick (Thillalangadi)and it was just a below average movie with average box office result.
Srk, abhishek boman great combination. Another main hoon na in d makingThis time all record will be shattered by clear margin. People will go crazy from 1 year before its release. Promotion will be historical with new invention to be introduce. This will not be a movie but events. Hype around movie will never seen before.
If ce got atleast two full weeks it would have crossed 300crores in india alone easily. This crap akshay took screens on crucial friday sat and sunday…. last salman khan had full atleast three full weeks but couldnt even cross 200crores… this shows the power of king khan..

Sorry, Diwali is not good for releasing Movies. The first reason is “first day of Diwali is pooja” so people don’t go to theaters. So Eid and Christmas are the best day for releasing movies.
